    Dreading The Dmv

Tink come on, i see your head hanging low - stop that!!! you gotta have your license renewed - fact of life - I don't want to call the law on you as mezanne says - keep the old license, reminding you of your past, as a "souvenir" you'll always know where you are, but sometimes you need a reminder of where you were my license doesn't expire til 2019 - crazy how far away that is i will always hate having my picture taken - but i'm trying to improve on those old feelings - i was debating on getting a new license/new picture/new me!!!! i was thinking of getting the "new me" picture - its not that i'm "unrecognizeable" from before when i was heavier - its just that why should i look at that mug on my license - who is that person????? ok, i just talked myself into "it", with your help ladies and gentlemen - i'm going to get a new photo next week - and i KNOW i won't break the camera !!!!! things just keep getting better and better

    Food Funeral...big Time!

AuroraB hi there - hope things get settled sooner than later with that dr. office of yours obsessing about food now - even waking up now "thinking" about food your life is gonna change drastically soon, you are recognizing that you might be thinking something like "oh no, i'm never going to eat normal food again, what am i doing?!! - hopefully you realize you will be able to eat "normal" stuff, sooner than later - but - you will have a MUCH smaller portion- but thats ok - you are gonna have a small tummy that can only hold so much food - thus the eventual weight loss - improved health et al many people start the mourning process of the food they love to eat, all those excessive eating habits brought them to the life of the obese no more - its ok to think about food a little more than usual, its understandable start to concentrate on the pre-op food stuff you'll be doing soon - loosing all that weight and continueing into the great healthier happier new lifestyle with the help of the sleeve good luck with WLS speedy recovery for you and that great kiddo!!! your son doing all the right things preparing for WLS - "who is this kid?" hey mom - its your great son!!!! - who raised him after all

    Water And Stretching Sleeve

Fidlleman 110 lbs down 4 1/2 months you are doing amazing with your weight loss!!!!! WooHoo now back to business..... per my NUT....and the many many many responses i've read - "most" people agree that its virtually impossible to stretch your sleeve first few weeks despite what NUT told me - i was frequently concerned that if i even looked the wrong way i would stretch my sleeve way back when, had to sometimes push myself to get in the proper 64 oz drinking more than 100 oz of Water daily, sounds great, but then again..................... per Squisha - "diluting minerals"? by drinking too much???? not sure about that -but its worth asking the question to the doc good luck keep up your great job
  4. Beam me up Scotty you feel bad physically cuz you ate 1/2 junior burgue?? you feel bad "mentally" cuz you had a 1/2 junior burger? answer to both questions yes??? if you did hurt your tummy at this early stage, well....your stomach is recuperating - but tummy will forgive you this time mentally, feel bad??? - once again your tummy will forgive you its good you feel a little guilty - then you won't do this again for quite a while eventually, maybe sooner than later, you will be able to eat that burger, or anything else - but in very small quantities 1/2 junior burger isn't bad if you are a few months along - but then again, whats done is done - tomorrow is a new day, don't beat yourself up over the slip up take care my friend continued luck with recovery but.....no burgers yet, ok

How Long Do I Have To Wait

starr1202 Egads, what, wait 18-24 months til sex, oh no!!! i think if we had to wait that long we'd remain fat seriously now folks ...... i have heard (I think, always covering myself ) that you are supposed to wait at least a year after WLS to have kids but i have seen posts where people say something like, oh no i'm pregnant 3 months post op (they didn't want to get pregnant so early after surgery, wanted to loose their weight 1rst) then get pregnant, and eat carefully, not gaining too much - but making sure baby gets enough nutrition then after birth, and assuming you are not breast feeding, you can get back on program by not eating as much, as often, back to exercising too after the baby, when they start to crawl, you'll get plenty of exercise running after them many people do this surgery for health reasons of course, to be able to get pregnant maybe after you speak to your dr. again - he can give you better information on why he thinks you need to wait til you can/should get pregnant , and hopefully say its safe to get pregnant sooner than later - good luck with that i see your 1 week PO, since you didn't comment otherwise, you must be doing ok- glad to "hear" that speedy recovery take care

    Defeated After 4 Months?

aldmbw oh no bud - don't feel defeated!!! please you feel fuller faster, and you can't eat as much - great - count your blessings!!!! my NUT says your sleeve DOESN'T stretch - "most" others on the forum agree eating anything you want ??? thats the way its supposed to be by 4 months for many - you should only eat small portions As far as temptation goes.... don't tempt fate at 10 1/2 months i know certain portion sizes i can eat - i use a small "baby" bowl - i know the exact amount of for example chili i can have (2/3 C) i put that amount in bowl, no more - i would never get 2nds, people have been shot for less to use your example of a frozen meal, i would measure out the proper portion, whatever your NUT says, - then only put that amount in bowl/plate, then you won't be tempted to eat more - even if your able to eat more don't push your eating to find out if you can eat more - I "think" a whole dinner is too much - (could be wrong) you might be able to eat whole dinner - but you shouldn't push that amount if its more than allotted amount per NUT twoolly said...."My surgeon explained to me yesterday that full isn't the goal. Satisfied is." i like that true statement girlfriend "fell of the wagon" - this happens to "most" of us at some time or another get back on that horse, eat proper portions, no cheating allowed - and don't shoot yourself in the foot for a couple of goofed days that are done and over with, ok???? I don't see your weight on profile or ticker - but i'm sure you are doing great congrats on your life
  22. suzqlvg shortly after i started solids - this stuck feeling DID happen to me. after i ate - i felt something was "stuck" in my throat - i had that terrible feeling!!!! It was scary and awful the "feeling" didn't go away, really upsetting - nothing was stuck - it just felt that way come morning - i was fine this happened 3 more times exactly over a short period of time now, i'm perfect!!!
