Janice sooooo many people post on the boards sometimes we/you/me - pour out our soles - and don't get a response i understand that feel bad (been there0 but try not to take it personally like i said - too many posts for everyone to respond too many people miss the exceptionally great posts like yours you are not pathetic!!!! actually i can see you are wonderful continued speedy recovery good luck kathy
  11. mocanitanj OMG - its NEVER too late get back on the horse, start following the rules - the sleeve was NOT a waste of time/mistake!!! we all/most have messed up a bit "once or twcie" you've done well - really!!!! just shy of losing 50 lbs in 5 months - do the #'s - thats NOT a bad monthly average sure you can/will do better as OP said - start to force the fluids - Water, water, water, and then more water at least 64 oz - you might have to push/force yourself to drink - improve daily it is very important!!!! and i'm sure you know to stop drinking before you eat by about 15-30 minutes never ever ever drink with your meals (people have been shot for less ) very very important - do not drink anything for about 45 minutes after you eat!!! i agree to go through pantry and chuck stuff like chips, Cookies et al when you see something "good" to eat.........sweets et al........... remember all of us are shaking their fingers at you saying - I don't think so!!!! we're scary enough to make you drop those goodies!!! tell your nutritionalist you need some more assistance from her - you are having problems maybe you need to assert yourself more - and say help, don't let her just aske the basic questions - you need to say more - you want help if she still doesn't do any good - get another NUT good for you that you are eating small portions - but sounds like you might be grazing eating a bunch of different times those small portions?? - sorry bud, gotta stop that these past 5 months have not been a waste!!! i can/will get back to basics - and continue doing well after all you know this is a llifetime journey but the results are great!!!!! i can see in your lovely smiling face - that you have what it takes to succeed i know it, i know it come back here for more support anythime think positive!!!! good luck kathy

    100lbs down

TapSnap hey dude you look great 100 lbs down, down, down toilet FLUSH you've done an amazing job looks like you are at goal???? stats, stats???ticker??? inquiring minds want to know luck has nothing to do with your success, or anyone elses you/we all work hard to achieve success eating, drinking, portions - stuff we will follow for the rest of our healthier, happier, longer life!!! kathy congrats

    Regrets

BuffBride regrets - are you kidding me!!!! i'm 17 months PO - Goal past 5 months i am enjoying, living my healthier happier life no complications PO!!!! its good to receive personal responses from others - i/we don't mind but - agreed check out various regret boards OP did have physical problems PO - and i get their feelings - some others wished they hadn't had the WLS cuz they miss food in general!!! that i don't get!!! MOST people love, love, love their sleeve - only regret they didn't do it earlier nothing is usally eating - you have to work with your sleeve so it can work with you - for the rest of your life good for you on doing your "homework" !!!! be prepared in all aspects of the different ways you will be eating and drinking - this is for the rest of your longer, healthier, happier life ie the Water "rules" very important that you will eat in small quantities but---- you will eventually be able to eat any type of food - in a teeny amount the sleeve is the best thing since white bread!!! (but now bread will not be one of the best foods to eat) take care good luck kathy

    Cymbalta

makemyownluck/deedadumble very true!!!! congrats on being taken off BP meds - i know the feeling - it is great!!!! yes, since you've lost 50 lbs - it will effect your medication dosage I'm sure you meant you were going to have the doc reduce your cymbalta gradually, right???? don't do it on your own!!!! you/me/us should never experiment with a change of dosage doc needs to direct you on how much to take, what to change "little" hijack ok??? i checked with all my docs prior to WLS concerning my meds etc everyone was a go ahead but............. at 4 months PO i had a knee replacement i had lost 60 lbs i have epilepsy (controlled) but since i lost the weight, and combination with my anesthesia - i had a couple of seizures all do to the fact that i was taking too much meds for my smaller body (labs were taken) took a couple of days for proper meds adjustment ...but........... back to my "normal"? crazy self now 56 lbs gone, oh no, where did it go LOL keep up the great job/work kathy congrats

    swimsuits that cover loose skin?

jandseakin never heard of such an animal!!! those bathing suits that supposed cover up your upper thighs - don't really hide anything and when they get wet - nothing is left to the imagination bought a new one piece bathing suit after my WLS/goal looks good - buttttttttt excess skin on my inner thighs, arms - i can't hide i do Water aerobics i'd rather have excess skin showing - and be thin then no excess skin from WLS - but extra skin "hanging" around with me being fat easier said than done - but sometimes we can't let others "possible" thoughts upset us we/you/me/all know that we're great!!!! excess skin or not!!!! take care see you at the pool kathy
  24. SonnysWuv so you want tough love??? here goes are you kidding me, even thinking about having popcorn at one week PO licking butter salt off? OMG per different docs/NUTS you must wait til your tummy heals more my doc told me 3 months!!!! i would give the men bonding time at the movies sounds like for you (me too back at one week PO)its hard to deal with the yummy smells enough tough love??? hope you know i was only "following" your directions about trying and talk you out of the popcorn?? i would NEVER yell at you - or anyone else hmmmm - maybe at DH !!!! take care bud kathy
  25. brittneyly happy one year surgiversary!!! 117 lbs gone, gone, gone - down the toilet - FLUSH you have been successfully sleeved losing all that weight there is a pregnancy board floating around here - you can get advice/help from others in the know you will probably gain some weight - but no longer are the days of gaining 70 lbs you will be diligent, stick to everything you know - Water, Protein etc. these are all great things in life generally - and with being pregnant too after baby - you will work hard to take off that excess weight you put on nothing is ever easy about losing this weight, but i know you can do this you proved it with your present weight loss!!! great transformation wonderful pictures!!!! good luck with your pregnancy raising my glass of H20 to you and baby's health take care bud CONGRATS kathy
