  1. mom023 congrats on being 17 days post op if memory serves me correctly, at your present/early stage - you need/should drink slowly your new tummy is healing from major surgery - be nice to it - and it will return the favor talk to your NUT/surgeon about the water/liquid question she will guide you about sipping, and eventually gulping I "think" 16 oz in an hour sounds great - as long as you drink slowly Many people on the board have problems getting liquids in at this early part of the game many OP have continue to have post op problems w/drinking Water consider yourself luck continued good luck with your recovery kathy

    Bras

losingit1213 not really answering your question.................. i always try and look for the good with the bad i don't wear/or need a bra i feel free!!! and don't bounce anymore  I am a 14 year breast cancer survivor when i had reconstruction surgery i opted to be "very" small up there!!! after all those years having big girls, which can be an "uplifting" situation i wanted to go small now that i've lost my weight, my breast size matches the rest of my body works for DH and I sorry i hijacked the board for a couple of minutes now............... back to your regularly scheduled program, already in progress kathy

    Should I?

moorerecr good about following initial protein/low carbs pre-op did he "officially" say after that you can't do liquids???? if he didn't say that, then tell him you want to push ahead, and maybe get a little more of a jump start, posssibly losing a couple of extra lbs prior to WLS if he did say "don't do a liquid diet" then don't silly head this is the start of your long journey for the rest of your healthier, happier, longer life we must ALWAYS follow our NUT/or surgeons advice its seriously an unwritten rule all NUTS are different - but always listen to your NUT/surgeon/nurse!!! good luck August 7 (you said July 7) you're probably so excited you didn't know what you were saying!!!!)LOL take care enjoy these next few weeks best of luck speedy recovery kathy
  4. "IF" i eat too much............ which sadly i admit i have done within a few minutes i start to get all hot "inside" and awful its terrible then i will usually lay down - will actually fall alsleep - get up 15 minutes lately and tummy will feel fine on the other hand...........i mentally feel awful since its easy for me to remember that terrible feeling, it reminds me not to do "it" anymore usually successful with that kathy

    Dating question from a girl

Susan not sure i understand why any new guy you meet would ask about your dating past after just meeting you, or shortly after??? as Art saiad - you can just say you've been concentrating on work you can say you've dated here and there a bit - just haven't found that "special" person yet if the guy you meet does turn into that special guy, and you want to talk about your past histoy the words will come to you about your history - if the guy cares about you, he will only be more proud of you and amazed by your success if for some reason he (or anyone else) all of a sudden feels funny - for some reason not liking your past?? he's no one to care about IMO - i wouldn't bring up your valid "trust" issues immediately to any guy maybe after you know him longer you don't/shouldn't in my opinion "spill your guts" about your past to ANYONE your barely know a little mystery here and there is good many/most new guys will see how great you are - too bad they didn't realize that decade ago (they should have) have fun enjoy life good luck kathy

    State insurance

foxymomma as far as reg plastic surgery, tummy tuck et, i don't "think" most insurance companies cover but.............my daughter has/had a similar experience with her breasts little more complex, but............. one breast is VERY small , and the other was formed "differently", kindof strange looking to tell you the truth finally, last year at the age of 35 - went to doc and was told insurance would cover the plastics in her situation check it out - nothing ventured nothing gained btw - my daughter wanted another child (my 3rd grandchild ) so she didn't want her breasts "messed" around with don't know if she'll ever have the surgery now - but you are a different matter - look into it you could find this a very "uplifting" experience congrats on your weight loss no ticker, profile to show your success???? hint, hint good luck kathy

IndLawPub As OP said - too many things to say here make me smile thats another reason to smile i "just" love being out and about in public - strrutting my stuff  , going into a "regular" size stall at a public bathroom and using a "regular" size changing room I also enjoying my newfounded sex life  DH really enjoys it too  growth of my self-confidence life gets better and better that fact puts a big smile on me too kathy
  19. Weight loss slowed? Make sure you measure! Ahhhhh, no truer words have been said!!! you will see the difference in your body by your measurements check your breast measurements - can be very uplifting i said prior to WLS i was going to take continuous measurements - and do a blog best laid plans of mice and men never did!!! kathy
  20. amount, % of weight loss??? sometimes i think docs "might" "fudge" their #s a bit its easier to say 60% success rate - people do arrive at that #, showing the doc has been successful (just my opinion) I am at 100% weight loss 105 lb weight loss started at 235 lbs (5'3) now weigh 130 lbs GOAL i've been maintaining these past 7 months and counting til forever and a day so i guess i'm a success story/person its not like i'm bragging.................. hmmmm, i guess i am but i/we all work hard to reach our goals - and i am very happy and proud the sky is the limit with your % of weight you want to lose your new life is at your fingertips good luck to all kathy

Tomorrow is the day for several of us!

hopingtolose2013 sterile arrival.???.........are you bringing a baby home??? kindof i guess........... a new little baby tummy as far as you having feelings/fear of death??? you would have to stay inside 24/7 to make sure nothing happened to you "out there" all surgeries have complications things should/hopefully go without a hitch during and after WLS "from my lips to Gods ears!!!" you'll be holding and loving those girls very soon as OP said - the kids and you will be so much happier, that you have regained your health, and are able to be with them in better health good luck to you tomorrow don't be too nervous during surgery suggestion: how about closing your pretty eyes and taking a nap while the docs do their thing!! speedy recovery you are on your way to a healthier, happier, longer life with the sleeve!!!! kathy
