Should I Date Another Sleever? (Dfw Area Guy)
ProudGrammy replied to Gone's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
hey Tex good thought, thinking ahead about what you are gonna do about dating finding someone who is "fit", is ok - healthy eating is important to them - so you probably wouldn't be around that much junk food Finding another sleever is a great idea there are support groups you can find (doc/NUT) can help you you could possibly meet some nice lady there having things (like the sleeve) is great to have in common can help/support each other - talk about what to eat how much you both love the Protein shakes meeting another guy could also be beneficial - talk about certain common issues that YOU men have!!! there are many husbands/wives - or sisters/sisters et al - that get sleeved at the same time, and have that great support so, yes, IMO finding another "partner" in crime is great good thoughts on surgery next month good luck kathy -
how I can be a healthy supporter through this difficult time MRodgers (its a beautiful day in the neighborhood ) you are aces for being so supportive for your honey we see/read many posts from new sleevers that have no support people - so repeating you are great, she is lucky to have you then again you are lucky too i did enjoy my DH kindof of being around me and helping me he would bring me hot broth and popsicles kindof "enforce" the fact i needed to keep drinking must not get dehydrated for me, i appreciated the "little pushes" - it works for me take her lead, and run with it since you are obviously so caring - i'm sure you'll figure it out good luck kathy

Scared Getting To Goal!
ProudGrammy replied to hipsnomore's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
hips maybe, kindof, NO!!!! I have successfully been at goal this past year but.............you/me/all must continue to watch everything you put in your mouth just like you are doing now there are many discussions on the board concerning how easy it is to gain weight!!! i "think" some people think once they reach goal, things will be fine and they can kindof "loosen" up a bit welll...........you can eat a "little" more - your tummy probably will allow you to - but you still must be careful this is a forever new lifestyle you took on don't worry about wilting away to nothing (even though i have seen a few people lose too much weight) you will just maybe eat a few more calories et al if you find you are continueing to lose weight great weight loss hips, (you too ruby ) I see goal in the very near future WooHoo both of you keep up the great job good luck kathy congrats -

ddw12 reno is right Water is much more important than protein at this time you must stay hydrated!!! many people successfully drink room temperature water - goes down easier sorry you are having issues with dry heaves not that this helps much............... but you only had the sleeve 3 days ago your tummy is still adjusting - its mad at you for allowing a doc to "cut you up" give tummy more time to heal after a few days, "maybe" give doc a call if that will make you feel better but...........these issues "usually" take care of themselves and get resolved each day should get better and better God Grant Me Patience, Just Hurry Up About It!!!! kathy good luck speedy recovery

ProudGrammy replied to brwneyedwoman's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
brweyedwoman please don't be swayed by the docs opinion he probably is more familiar with bypass he has the right to his opinion of course, but he did say either way is fine glad you have been stable with your kidney problems for the past 18 years you've done your homework, and you wisely decided on the sleeve don't second guess yourself now!! December 17th will be here before you know it!!! good luck speedy recovery kathy -
Dec 30Th Sleeve! Mbindra first off............ Welcome, Welcome always room for another smiling face wow, you are ending and starting the new year with a bang!!!! its said on this board, "the one thing we have in common, is that we're all different " in other words, some people heal, recover very quickly - up and running (back to work) in a few days, a week others (you "maybe") might need a longer time to recover you need to have Protein shakes waiting for you at home, broth, popsicles most importantly.............. a faucet that works and will supply lots and lots of Water good luck next month speedy recovery kathy
