    Goal Weight

how everyone came up with their goal weight?? vsg2803 and Paul too at 5'3 i put my goal at 155 (my lowest weight about 15 years ago) as my goal weight was approaching could lose more weight for my health and happiness changed my goal to 135 i have maintained 130 lbs for one year!!! (and i will forever stay there ) you are taller than me, but your build might be right for 130 maybe put your goal "alittle" higher, as you approach whatever # you choose, possibly re-evaluate your situation listen to your body always - it will talk to you and tell you when to stop losing or continue your health issues will greatly improve after you lose weight/and maybe disappear no more diabetes, high blood pressure or CPAP for me enjoy this thanksgiving day, as you have much to be thankful, with a wonderful new year approaching you are on your way to a healthier, happier, longer life good luck speedy recovery kathy

    I Need Help

mizzmoka didn't loose enough weight so now I start a liquid diet again sorry this happened to you bud doctors frequently say to lose "X" amount of weight he reason they want a weight loss is it helps shrink the liver, so its easier for them to perform their "magic" another reason docs do this is they want to make sure you are totally committed to follow a "health plan" of proper eating for the rest of your healthier, happier, life show him you can follow the rules and be successful............. but more importantly - follow the rules "for yourself" we all want/wanted this surgery very bad gotta go on the liquid diet again immediately if not sooner easier said than done, but i wouldn't even eat thanksgiving dinner as planned even if you don't eat as much as normal, you lose a day towards your weight loss your date has been definitely resceduled for the end of december?? I can see the determination in your beautiful eys!!! gotta commit yourself you can do this i know you'll be one of the many, many other successful sleevers take care good luck kathy

I cant believe i am doing this

donaboss you wrote this about 6 weeks ago i can be slow to respond hope you are still hanging around having a BMI of 35.5 is on the low side for being approved but, many others have been approved and you have comorbities too things can be crazy its like insurance wants you to weigh more (having a higher bmi) and have many physical problems then they can decide if you are fat enough and sick enough to have WLS!!!! hope things went/go well with insurance good luck kathy

    So Many Plans!

Ellenenchanted you are about 7 weeks PO now how are you doing with the plan your NUT gave you??? what you have been told sounds pretty "normal" to me Always eat protein first (dense protein ie chicken really fills me up ) veggies - i wasn't do much fruit back when, but sounds like a plan for you if you are listening to your NUT, following all the rules - drinking et al............... you should/will lose the weight i am 6 weeks shy of 2 years PO i lost 105 lbs - and have been at GOAL this past year (plan to stay here too!!! ) good luck kathy
  23. Seela I think this happens to some/many/me too!!!! Now with Thanksgiving and 14 family members coming over, i'm really scared I HAVE heard comments exactly like what you said i listen to them politely, smile and say something in a NICE tone "I know exactly what to eat, and I am doing great, but thanx anyways IMO it only hurts the situation to yell, then you are giving "them" the power over you As YOU lose weight, your smile should continue to grow That will show them!!! good luck kathy
  24. Ree LOL I DO post alot, but the count shows I don't think so!!! kathy
