    October bypass

@Eliz_123 WELCOME WELCOME WELCOME WLS is/can be very difficult for many OP, especially at the beginning. read the boards - you will see/hear from OP with similar problems, I wish your people/friends there would visit/call. "maybe" call someone looking to talk. They might not realize you would appreciate hearing from them. Or you make that call first. to someone. Have you looked into a support group in your area?? your doc office should be able to guide you. Go see your doc office, talk to NUT, reach out for help/guidance. Having a good cry IMO is good for the soul!! Congrats on having your 1rst movement!! LOL This is a big event!! Sounds silly to say, but we know how important, necessary having your bowels move. Tummy/gas - you feel a little better. hopefully your issues/prob will get better day by day!! good luck, don't be afraid to yell out to us!! kathy

  5. @smm86 sorry you are not feeling up to par, ☹️As OP have said - it should/will get better. Everyone heals differently, feels better in different time periods, looses weight slower/faster than each other. NEVER compare yourself to another person. Feel better soon!! (please!) Kudos on your weight loss!! 37 lbs down!! Good Luck Kathy "God Grant Me Patience - Just Hurry Up about It!!"

@Missytee you look beautiful amazing transformation keep up the good work kathy
  18. @PrettySmartChic some OP have sad/bad results during/from surgeries it is "good/ok to hear those problems. its true that everything is not all roses. BUT there are many OP that write how happy they are unfortunately, the bad stories frequently stick/stand out to OP. OP don't always write about the good - many more OP write their bad situations to vent/tell their stories/look for advice - and just want a couple of ears to listen to them. In my case, as a 6+ year GOAL/vet - life with my weight goes terrific. NEVER had any issues. no revision Fluctuate/maintain - but all is good. 105 lbs down I had my sleeve one month before i was 58 years OLD. Now i'm 64 years YOUNG. As most OP - I wish i had my surgery years earlier. Don't dwell on the bad stories - sooooo many people are happy and thriving good luck to you - follow the rules - you'll be successful/happy too kathy

Hand my Sleeve on Sept. 5, happy and miserable!

@Futuresleevie18 glad you made the wise decision to have the sleeve many OP are sad/mad about not being able to eat good food anymore. GET OVER IT you will eventually be able to eat other foods that you miss and like. Key to the sleeve and other surgeries - moderation. following the rules of water, protein, carbs etc. you will hear the true statement on this board - that alllll docs and NUTS are different/theories/comments food plans. Listen /use all the good comments/advice/experiences from OP - but at the end of the day ONLY follow the directions/advice of your DOC. Like you said plans etc varies - soooo NEVER/compare your stats to OP. Some OP loose diff amount of weight shorter/longer time. Don't worry - as long as you follow your plan - drinking/ protein etc - you'll be a success too!! Many of us (me) will cheat a little one time or another. But at 3 weeks - too early in the game for you to cheat (IMO) . 23 lb down is great -congrats keep up the good work kathy

19hrs and Hurricane Florence is still here

@Liz C long, but this 6+ year VET/GOAL is worth it - ROFLMAO not staying in touch"!! 1,000 whips with a wet noodle!! (carbs, carbs eek!!) Glad you survived Florence and surgery went well. burping LOL - i use to burp so loud my daughter in GA. could here me from Syracuse, NY LOL I would TRY to stop eating as i was "approaching" being full.(before i burped) Hard to always tell (judge) when to stop. It's like asking someone on a bus "what stop do i get off for X street".? He says, "watch me and get off one stop earlier" LOL Don't push yourself - if you're too tired, (and you can afford time off from work) be easy on yourself. I read in your other post you are walking 2-3 miles a day!! That's great if you are feeling ok. But you don't have to walk that much. Walking is great to do any time - take it slow - if your body says no, no, no, stop i'm hurting - STOP . even though you are walking over 3X period - you sound too tired. don't overdue!! Take a nap, rest - pamper yourself!! you are worth it. Take yourself off that back burner. As far as yogurt (even only two tablespoons) you shouldn't experiment before the proper time. IE before you are supposed to go onto the next phase of eating. pureed', mush, soft, solids. Ok, end of well meaning lecture don't concentrate on the # on the scale - you will go crazy. Take your measurements periodically, and you will see, feel the change in your clothes. Everything takes time thinking of the bigger picture - great attitude to have!! I see you were born on Valentines' day!! How sweet is that!! LOL December 2019 - daughters wedding day - you will look amazing - that dress is a great goal to look forward too good luck newbie kathy
  23. @HugMama hi newbie if you are hurting - slow down, you are just one week PO don't overdue!! Listen to your body. If its screaming pain at you, knock it off (the walking) don't overdue when you drink - you will not get that full feeling that you are looking for. once you start to eat again, mush, soft, solid foods - you will get that good full feeling. once you are on solids, people get different "signals" to stop eating. many OP nose starts to run - in my case an OP, i would hiccup (loudly, you might have heard me LOL) take it easy, don't worry so much - or you'll get gray hairs!! LOL I know take it slow and easy, one day at a time from one successful, happy vet (maintaining 6+ years) sleever to a great newbie "God grant me patience Just Hurry Up About It!!" good luck kathy
