Does anyone else think it's awfully early for Cadbury eggs?
ProudGrammy replied to marfar7's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Cadbury mini eggs - like crack to me. I think they lace these things with heroin to keep people hooked. Should we ban these favorite goodies from our lives or practice moderation to stay happy? Marfar7 I will lead the picket line to ban these goodies/candies et al i also usually abstain this is the way i treat most things that i can get addicted to too easily when i have a bite of something, it feels like a tease - i want more so not having any works for me i tip my hat to all you dudes and dudettes working in in an office all day/or have kids/SO at home that eat that junk must be so much harder to be tempted and give in sometimes DON'T give in, please people have been shot for less hold your head up high - be strong!!!! I know you can you never know when the food police (or me )might see you happy easter to all kathy -
FIRST horrible day since surgery on the 10th
ProudGrammy replied to SlowlybutSurely's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
BamaBoo64 sorry you are having a rough time right now all you newbies - listen up don't worry about getting all the protein in for now early PO - most important thing to do is to be able to drink it can be hard for some, successfully drinking -, but its very very important sip, sip and sip very slowly Water is essential throughout this journey, early PO more important than ever water plays a big part of your new life don't eat for 15-30 minutes after you drink don't drink with your meals (people have been shot for less ) don't drink for 45-60 minutes after you eat drink at least 64 oz of H20 a day water, water, everywhere but not a drop to "sip" so in other words water is very, very important for the rest of your healthier, happier, longer life powder stuff for shakes does smell pretty awful they have pre-mixed drinks that you could try ie muscle milk. premier, GNC - many others too hope you start feeling stronger and better sooner than later things do get better good luck holding a glass of water up to your health good luck kathy -

This is where the rubber meets the road
ProudGrammy replied to mswisdom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
mswisdom sorry for my silly hi-jack above frequently said on the board is something like "the one thing all sleevers have in common is that we're all different" you are doing great/ everything right eating sounds fine, you are exercising too!!!! on the board "we" say - "we didn't put the weight on overnight, and its not gonna come off that way" please don't "test" how much you can eat at 2 months!!!! (or 3 or 4 et al) "just because you can doesn't mean you should"!! hope your mom continues to improve - but don't let her sad situation get in the way of your new/correct habits 39 lbs down!!! keep up the great job good luck kathy congrats -

Does anyone know how to make post op fun?
ProudGrammy replied to tracysjourney's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
how do I make this journey fun - interesting????? tracysjourney they" say you joined VSG yesterday 8:52 am we've been waiting for you glad you made it!!!! WELCOME WELCOME for me, and many others (you too?) coming to the boards are very helpful you'll get a lot of good info about vomitting and poop and when to have sex! LOL you will "meet" mostly nice people, except..........ooooops what was that name??? making the journey fun??? planning is a key word don't let yourself get bored!!!! boredom brings back old habits that do die hard write a list of things you want to/need to do keep track in MyFitnessPal - a websight that you write down what you ate, calulate calories, carbs et al its important to be accountable for all your food and drink being focussed while you are on your journey today is wonderful those emotions/feelings should/MUST remain for ever and day i know you realize getting WLS, losing the weight is only 1/2 the battle many/most/all of us have successfully taken off 50, 75, 100+ lbs - but maintaining is the issue i'm glad you are mentally and physically sounding and feeling great and all set to forge ahead your partner in crime - the sleeve!!!! you are now walking towards a healthier, happier, longer life good luck newbie kathy congrats -

"kathy i can't believe how old you are!! " i am pretty sure she meant that as - she felt even older (she's 83) having a 60 year YOUNG daughter but my sister said something like "kathy you look so good, wonderful" enjoying my new life life is good kathy -
