@@Elode i think you are delusional!! people recover differently it took me 2-3 weeks til i got back to my wonderful self some people might take more or less time til they are their normal self you will have just had MAJOR surgery on you new little tummy normal issues PO might be gas, exhaustion, sore stiches alittle pain in general (MAYBE some vomitting) et al tummy might start to rebel telling you to "hold your horses", slow down listen to your body - it will tell you if you are over dueing anything not telling you to scare you, just to be realistic there are A "few" people that have no problems they are far and few between "maybe" you might think about talking to some of your professors tell them you just had surgery (don't have to say WLS) some explanation IMO should be made if you need more time to recover good luck speedy recovery kathy

@@marfar7 glad your familily "helped" you out by eating all that candy i'm a weakling - i couldn't have handled the temptation seeing the grand-kids in costumes will be fun I'll have one starburst for you, one for me too glad to see you are back on program you have lost a lot of weight those 20 lbs will be a bad memory keep up the good work @@Camarolegend i'm green with envy that you don't care that much for chocolate that probably is one reason yo have lost 109 lbs congrats @@Miaoreo i've heard that eating one piece of dark chocolate is better than milk chocolate - does small amount mean one bag of butterfingers instead of two great weight loss - keep up the good work kathy

ProudGrammy replied to mayala07's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@@mayala07 so many people to see - places to go!! to do -places to go, people to meet you need to find out from insurance if you are required to do a 3 or 6 month pre-diet you need a list of past weights over the years different methods of ypu've tried to loose weight - example WW, Jenny Craig etc co-morbitities like high blood pressure, diabetes, cpap PCP will be able to help with above issues insurance company might require more things or less things the one thing you are required to have through this long process is patience "God Grant Me Patience Just hurry Up About It" good luck with all the hoops you will be jumping thru and your pending WLS kathy -
@@mnmlst read your earlier post after leaving hospital table right before surgery - how wonderful/ lucky to be given a new date so quickly don't you dare "jump" off the table again!! or you'll get 100 whips with a noodle and thats filled with so many carbs surgery on halloween no candy for you good luck speedy recovery kathy

@@Aribay1 remember i'm only a laymen, not a NUT, well then again you shoud ask your dr the above question in MY opinion I doubt they will give you a mask 2 weeks before WLS sleep apnea "usually" goes away after WLS - not right away but "usually" soon i don't think your procedure would be postponed having sleep apnea is a case of more is better the more problems you have- better chance you have for approval so you are "lucky" that you have another co-morbities that will help with your approval life is strange good luck kathy

how to get fluids in?
ProudGrammy replied to MindyLynn5's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@@MindyLynn5 get your Fluid and Protein in post op while on the liquid diet ???How do you take your medication? my oh my so many questions, so little time its been awhile i don't remember how much protein is in a protein shake i "think" around 20 gr pkg will show the protein amount will be inluded with your liquids and vice versa if you can successfully drink those shakes that would solve your problem with protein and Water if you have problems with drinking the shake (i did) you must push the fluids/water room temperature chystal light or water moght bean option for you it takes all WLS patients differnt time periods to drink can't give you an exact time period some people have no prob drinking - others take longer you will find out soon enough take small sips very slowly you MUST stay hydrated at all times liquids at this early stage are more important than protein as time passses - the importance of protein and water will go hand in hand you can buy chewable Vitamins bariatric pills looked like a horse pill to me my nurse did crush my other meds in apple sauce best of luck to you good wishes speedy recovery kathy -
