Have not lost appetite; weight loss stalled at 50.
ProudGrammy replied to robisfubar's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@@robisfubar hey dude hunger issue anyone that says your hunger will be gone forever is dillusional peoples reaction to length of time they are not hungry varies ie for me my hunger seemed to rear its ugly head at about 5 months there is a difference between 70 gr proteiin and 70 gr carbs!!! "they" say you should have 60-70 gr Protein daily carbs - many people are ok with eating only 40 gr protein is good/healthy most carbs are not good there a few good carbs many and far between go to MFP post EVERYTHING you eat i might knock off those hormal bacon, eggs, potatoes and the stew sounds like they might have alot of calories exercising is great its important to do cardio in addition to weights ie treadmill, eliptical you shouldn't be drinking anything for 45-60 minutes after you drink people have been shot for less you need to up your drinking it can be hard to drink alot but GET OVER IT anything that has to do with Water is very important drink at least 64 oz stop drinking 30 minutes before you eat never drink with your meals don't drink for 45-60 minutes after you eat eating dense protein fills me up (ie chicken) don't starve ourself all day then use your calories at night th -

Im having a panic attack about this 15 lbs gain
ProudGrammy replied to tdrew@live.ca's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@@tdrew@live.ca many of us have fears of gaining weight i also weigh myself every morning so i can try to "nip" any prob in the bud like OP have said you have done great by loosing 115 lbs since January not minimizing that you have gained 15 lbs!! couid have been worse - you might have gained 16 lbs! @jointsaint said "only a setback, nothing that can't be undone." it can be hard to confess to yourself that you messed up a little i'm good with secrets i won't tell anyone else, i promise!! exercising is helpful getting back to MFP is great i might restrict my calorie intake to under 1,000 a calories I see you have determination to get back on the shtick i have faith in you good luck kathy -

ProudGrammy replied to Febes1800's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@@Febes1800 welcome, wecome, welcome and welcome to sleeveland we're all good eggs here some of us are more cracked than other ask us alllll your questions we will answer to the best of our knowledge but most of us are laymen (some nurses on the board) we're all smart (especially me) but we don't have medical degress please remember at the end of the day your doc and NUT (nutrionalist)msp are the ones to listen to many NUTS/doc have different instructions ONLY listen to your medical team!! sorry things aren't going that well right now many of us had/have similar problems that you are going through telling you that doesn't make you feel any better - but its good to know that you are not alone!! right now - Water is much more important than getting Protein in eventually the amount of water and protein will go hand in hand you didn't mention if you are successfully drinking water?? many people drink chrystal light or water at room temp popsicles are also good (don't think they count much as water) you must drink as much as possible small, slow sips you can't risk getting dehyrated hopefully things will get better sooner than later you are on your way to a healthier, happier, longer life good luck newbie kathy -

@@limbo6 googled, hope this helps Ketosis is a condition in which levels of ketones (ketone bodies) in the blood are elevated. Ketones are formed when glycogen stores in the liver have run out. The ketones - acetoacetate and β-hydroxybutyrate - are used for energy. Ketones are small carbon fragments that are the fuel created by the breakdown of fat stores. Ketosis is potentially a serious condition if keytone levels go too high kathy
