@@allliecortia chew or eat more slowly chewing?? just chew slowly until food is mush you can only chew for so long before the food is gone/melted away can't chew slower - before you know it the food is mush eating slowly??? that is different accomplish eating, taking longer to eat?? small bites then put your silverware down for a minute then pick it up after a minute or so eat again - slllllowly hope this helps three weeks out!!! still around to talk about it!!! you are a smart cookie you realize you have a lot to learn being a newbie its always good to ask for help with a prob (like the chewing) good for you newbie for reaching out i see the determination in your lovely eyes that you will be a success good luck kathy -
Is it mandatory to quit smoking?
ProudGrammy replied to kymmiej11's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@@kymmiej11 i am a non smoker smoking is a frequent subject here most docs (99.999%)??? say you must/need stop smoking before surgery i think the time period is about 3 weeks to stop smoking pre-op i've heard some docs give you some type of "breather" test to make sure you aren't smoking ok, here comes the non smoker in me I never thought that smoking was a good idea I can't imagine how difficult it can be to stop smoking yes i have frequently heard people gain weight when they initially stop smoking but...........IMO you starting your new healthier lifestyle with eating properly why don't you get all the way healthy and stop smoking for your health too? it would be just as beneficial to stop smoking its kindof a contradiction of terms if you get healthier with your body/weight/health - yet still smoke good luck bud kathy -
