    I am a new Member.

@@shannonblindsay welcome welcome welcome always nice to meet and greet another pretty, smiling face into sleeveland normal for you and family to be nervous you'll see many great questions and responses from other members also use the search button in the top right hand corner read a book or two about bariatric surgery if you haven't already WLS for Dummies others too surgeon/nutritionist will give you plenty of "rules" you need to follow pre-op and post op start practicing Water rules don't drink for 30 minutes before you eat NEVER, EVER drink with your meals wait 45-60 minutes after you eat before you drink drink at least 64 oz of water a day many more rules to follow above is a good start the sleeve is a wonderful "helper" in getting you to loose weight you have to work hard eating correctly, moderation, water rules, et al sleeve won't magically remove all your excess weight - and keep it off YOU have to work hard hard hard for the rest of your life to be successful you will get rid of the weight, but then you have to work just as hard to maintain be good to the sleeve and it will be good to you its a "cake" walk you are on your way to a healthier, happier, longer life have fun jumping through all the hoops of insurance surgery in February would be great good luck kathy

  23. @@Slimsoon1988 as said by OP...... having sleep apnea is one of the "good" bad things that says to ins. you are having problems due to obesity you/others have more of chance for approval by insurance you have already been approved, thats great sicker you are with co-morbidities (msp?) the better maybe your dr wants to know if you definitely have sleep apnea wants to prepared, so he can see what precautions he might want to take during WLS the sleep apnea "test" involves you going to a "center" you don't have to study "they" will put wires on your head monitor your sleeping piece of "cake" thirsty, waking up to go to bathroom don't know how that would affect anything sleeve sleep apnea either improves - or no more sleep apnea post WLS in my case, no more CPAP hope you don't have any delays good luck kathy
