    Gaining after a year

@@HouseVT you've identified that you have a problem thats 1/2 the battle so you are 1/2 way their!!!! lots of people have hit that "restart" button with Protein shake etc. its a good idea giving you that "push" losing a little more weight in a quicker time will make you feel better but shortly, you have to go back to "real" life follow all those Water rules you say you might be having trouble dealing with drink at least 64 oz of water a day do not drink while you are eating don't drink for about 30 minutes before you eat wait 45-60 minutes after you eat before you drink again a few other things you "might" not remember eat protein first - very important watch your carb intake always chew food slowly and carefully eat off a small plate eat very slowly measure your food try and keep track of allll our your food (ie use MFP) its amazing how calories add up before you know it you ate a "zillion" calories other things too, all i can think of this second it can be hard but you MUST follow ALL these rules for the rest of your life to maintain your weight you lost a lot of weight before you cAN do it again i know you will be yet another success story good luck kathy

    Gaining after a year

@@thesuse2000 good/nice words you said back in October unfortunately @@KCSG hasn't post since october 14 the topic will always be relevent this topic is frequently/sometimes on people minds (me) newbies esp. and others shouldn't think of the future in that way that they might not be able to maintain their weight loss as long as you continue to follow the rules we've learned with the sleeve - you should maintain "it" is/can be harder keep the weight off maintenance most/all of us didn't have toooo much trouble taking the weight off its keeping the weight off!! the sleeve is still "hanging" around to assist you but YOU have to work hard too at some point you might find you are able to eat more the expression here is "just because you can, doesn't mean you should" whatever you did pre-op, then post op you must continue for the rest of your health @theuse2000 87 lbs down great keep up the good work kathy congrats to everyone else/me too keep up the great job i know WE can

@@10/6/14 knock it off!! you are never, ever allowed to compare yourself with other people ie how long it takes for you to lose weight over someone else how much more weight someone else loses compared to you "they" say losing about 10 lbs a month is good not sure how %of weight loss goes but it sounds like you are doing fine remember, don't compare your weight to "jane doe" or jack "and the beanstock" LOL keep up the good work that i know you are doing!!! kathy

  8. who would have thought?? 3 years ago, a scared little (big) rabbit had WLS i was scared about the unknown - what to expect in my future i crept down 105 lbs/GOAL in one year past two years fluctuating/maintaining 3-5 lbs at times i have weighed a "little" more honesty, confession is good for the sole i'm not perfect, welllll actually i do graze sometimes or eat more than i should during the day i don't enjoy not drinking while eating i don't always get my 64 oz of Water i don't exercise but............ i don't weigh 235 lbs anymore many wonderful things have been going on in my new life my health is wonderful this "sexy at 60" looks pretty HOT!! we built a beautiful new house last year but............. I don't hide in the house anymore i find reasons to leave the house drive here there and everywhere love running errands of course clothes shopping toooooo!!! I do volunteer work (I would never have put myself "out" amongst people pre WLS) my confidence, happiness have gone through the roof many other things i can't think of (my memory hasn't improved ) with the "assistance" of the sleeve - my new world is amazing that is my story and i'm stick' to it!!! my wishes/thought/hopes that everyone in the "world"/especially my fellow sleevers be as happy as i am today - for the rest of your healthier, happier, longer, life kathy congrats to me
