@@Alex Brecher I have checked her Thunderbird trash files and I cannot find anything in the trash that looks like it is coming from her forums. I have her filters set up to move Email from her in basket to various folders to make it easier for her to manage her Email load. If a message falls through all of her filters, then it is moved into the trash file. AFAIK, I do not have any of her filters setup to delete anything. I just sent Kathy an Email from one of my TWCNY.RR.COM Email accounts and it appeared in her in basket when I did the Get Messages function. So, I'm 100% sure if something lands on the TWCNY POP server, it is making it down to her laptop. To me, it appears the Emails Kathy is looking for are not making it to the TWCNY.RR.COM POP3 server. I've been providing mainframe Systems Programming (the heavy duty technical support) for my employer since 1979. I trust my instincts and I do not believe the issue is between TWCNY's POP server and my wife's laptop. I believe it is between TWCNY.RR.COM and whatever is hosting the forums. I look forward to working with you to get this resolved. Happy New Year. Tom. A.K.A. DH.

Confused about restriction
ProudGrammy replied to mroth28's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@@mroth28 first off i got sleeved the same day as you!!!! three years ago in 2011!! and i'm still alive and kicking gas pains are common (not that that helps you any ) doc put me on Prilosec immediately after surgery per doc - i should continue to take daily, always you mentioned you are walking thats great!!! walk through the house take a break then walk again in a few minutes?/half an hour keeeeeep walking, moving the gas problem should gradually improve sooner than later hopefully the issue will be gone!!! when the gas is gone, other issues should improve too!!! don't worry about not feeling hungry at this time you will feel better to eat in awhile you will not feel restriction while you are in the early drinking stage as you start to have soft foods and progress.... you will feel a restriction!!! (your "full" feeling) all things take time - "it" will happen things should get better one day at a time look forward to a wonderful new year with your new best friend, the sleeve good luck kathy -

@@Katcloudshepherd you don't have to shout!!!! i hear you!!! thats great that hubby is having surgery in a couple of weeks warning, warning - small hijack i wish my 100+ lb overweight hubby would be sleeved he doesn't want it, no way, no how, won't even try and lose weight after being heavy all his life i don't say anything - but he loves it that i've lost weight, i've told him i would also love it if he returned the favor - oh, oh, sorry for the rant back to our regularly scheduled program i have seen many other spouses/friends/mother, daughter, father, son etc have surgery performed at the same time - or weeks apart - or like you, one year later love it (totally cool) you are understandably excited and anxious how is he feeling, same emotions??? is he going to join our "little" group?? (keeps getting "smaller" all the time ) did he want this surgery earlier, finally decided to go for it??? why will he have open incisions??? i claim ignorance on this one is he very, very overweight that doc think its safer?? is that the reason he can't have laproscopic?? (is it ok i asked, or am i being too personal??) if the answer is MYOB - no prob i'm sure he gave you plenty of support/help after you were sleeved turn about is fair play all your expertise, knowledge will help him pre & post op wow, he is having surgery on my birthday (or is it the other way around ) must be a good omen between you and me - i am turning 61 years young! on january 12!!! shhhhhh..our secret ok bud?? hopefully you'll keep us up to date he'll love those Protein shakes take care happy new year kathy -

Worst "compliment" you have gotten since surgery
ProudGrammy replied to Lacowgirl72's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
@@Lacowgirl72 i frequently have read since i came to this board, how other "overweight" people are meanly/cruely addressed/spoken to AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL i know my comment is a "drop in the bucket" (maybe not even applicable to the subject posted) to the way other people were treated and spoken to/about just wanted to say/express myself thats ok to say to all you great people, right?? my mother was my primary, horrible mean critic ALWAYS she treated me badly every way in the book with her "passive aggressive" feelings about my weight while and after i was/had lost my weight i frequently heard from others "you look so much better" what nice words/compliment i heard it and felt good briefly but within a couple of minutes i couldn't help but think they were saying "you looked so awful before" guess i'm saying "its" all about your feelings, how you hear things to me, hearing what was said sounded awful they might as well have said "man oh man you looked terrible before!!!" I did look awful before and "they" didn't even say any mean words but for me, hearing those words, still made me sad, and remember my earlier life maybe kindof silly that if this is the way/reason i was upset no terrible mean comments were even said just how i felt not the typical uplifting post for me thanx for listening guess proudgrammy it not always proud kathy -
