@@Gail Ann my doc told me he uses a 36 but then he told me there is a "minisckule" (msp ) of a difference so i wouldn't worry kathy

what kind of yogurt @@619Raf i used to swear by light 'n fit greek yogurt but i kept hearing fage was the best yogurt so i finally tried it 0% plain greek yogurt OMG its so nice and thick i love it one packet of sweet 'n low a few fresh blueberries teensy teensy bit of granola on top can't get much better than that good luck on thursday speedy recovery holding a fage yogurt up in the air to your healthier, happier, longer life kathy

@ great pic!! its amazing, just amazing who would have ever thought i would have the same socks as he does great weight loss sarah you are not exactly a slouch at losing 79 lbs!!!! ("those" men always lose faster than us!!! ) i love, love, love it when family members have surgery together wonderful going through such a change/experience like this together helping/supporting each other both of you keep up the great job i hope to keep "seeing less and less" of you kathy congrats

@@amponder next time you go walking tell her you are taking the shorter trail for now (no explanations necessary) you would love it if she could join you but if she says no, its too easy or whatever nicely tell her to enjoy her walk and you will meet at the car when MIL said "pretty good for a beginner." sounds a little condescending to me, but................ keep up the good work you are doing great 90 lbs down!!!! kathy congrats

"they" other people (and me) wish we had done the srgy years ago!! if you have already decided on having surgery - thats terrific having WLS is wonderful gives you a new chance to improve your life are you DEFINITELY having surgery?? do lots of research read the boards ask your questions can't be TOO informed good luck kathy

@@JackieBrown - you are experiencing a one month + stall (sorry about that ) @@JackieBrown @ @fat_free @@ualaw08 @@LipstickLady @@queensleever05 @@robga999 frequently when you are stalled, even though your weight doesn't go down your measurements do go down!!! thats why its so important to keep track of your measurements (especially during stalls) sizes going down is great, the weight will go down too trust me would i lie to you?? maybe for "right now" don't step on the "devil so often" that way you won't see if your # has changed or not keep up the good work you are all doing great good luck ladies kathy

@@mercy96 I have seen discussion on the board "when should people have plastics" some choose to have it done right after surgery many docs tell people to wait at least a year after goal before plastics the reason for the latter is that your body usually firms up a "little" for me my "disappearing" tushy/hanging skin - did tighten up a bit would try for that wonderful baby first remember, practice makes perfect you've lost 50 lbs keep up the good work kathy congrats

I can't get over any doctor saying such a thing like that to his patient discouraging/upsetting/hurtful to his patient/you - like he did don't think his comments had anything do to a possible "bad day" he was having the only comment i will make is "maybe" he was thinking like" if you've already had a 2 lb weight gain, you might not be true to the rules/sleeve" i'm sure that is not the case for you and you will follow all the rules necessary if he WAS concerned about the above - maybe he should have said something like "you really shouldn't gain weight now while you are on pre-op just starting thats not a good indication of things to come post op" it is true you SHOULD lose(or not gain) weight pre-op, but his words were unnecessary/mean/crazy show him you will comply with the rules - prove him wrong the above being said.............. i am the pot calling the kettle black do as i say not as i do i didn't have a pre-op required - had a food funeral for a "few days" i should have "forced" myself to do a pre-op diet, didn't chose to I weighed 4.3 lbs more the DOS than the first time i was weighed a month earlier ahhhh, confession is good for the soul good luck with surgery I KNOW you will follow the rules and be a success speedy recovery kathy

@@LipstickLady great pics old lady??? :lol: you look great "youngun " iMO - as people are losing weight, reach goal they do look better than "before" in other words a heavy person with an younger looking face will probably look older in general but a person who is at a good weight - will look younger than before WLS kathy congrats

@@Goldyloqs i agree!! welcome, welcome this is your first post too!! as others say you'll find lots of good info/advice/SUPPORT on here you might be wondering about subjects that are being posted be interested in the responses ask all your questions too there is a search button in the top right hand corner that will help too you've got time before surgery to do more research there are books around like WLS for Dummies others too read read read can never have too much knowledge I see you are a smart cookie thats why you are checking out this board everyone here is great/nice except .............. are you saying you are thinking your age makes you high risk, or the fact that you've already had 3 miss carriages (so sorry ) if its some other reason, i'm sorry - no need to answer as far as trying for a baby at your "age" MANY people have kids in later years if doc sees no prob - then try, try again I had my wonderful daughter as i was turning 21 if i had her 10 years later, i probably would have know a few more things if i had her in my early 40's - (like you) i would have been a genius to finally answer your initial question about should you have a baby at your age if doc says no prob - i don't think your age has anything to do with it as you are losing weight - you will be able to run around with your kiddo and be very active you and youngun will both love that doc knows about your history, talk to him about your concerns, worries good luck with surgery in a couple of months kathy

@@RedSalamander don't worry about those family "loose ends" they will take care of themselves you are on the front burner its YOUR turn to be treated extra special/get huggggs etc these next few days you'll maybe be running around like a chicken without a head this is an exciting time for you before you know it you will be taking a nap while the docs do "their thing" get plenty of rest PO drfink drink and then drink at this time - drinking is more important than Protein did you know there is "scientific" proof that the best day to get sleeved is on January 14th good luck speedy recovery kathy @@alwaysvegas what a site that must have been wish i could have been a fly on the wall 127 lbs gone!! party dance, party dance kathy congrats
