    @@MissAishyyy welcome, welcome, welcome to the board congrats on testing the Water with your first post this is a great board with wonderful people except.............. ask any and alllllll your questions you will hear plenty of great advice, comments, suggestions and experiences at the end of the day listen to your doc/NUT about everything your doc should be able to discuss the subject will you being a 61 year old grammy your question never came up for me this is an good/logical question that others can help you with go to the board Pregnancy with Gastric Sleeve Surgery hope you start a discussion about the issue start to read all the other questions too good luck kathy

    @@LisaDomalewski i love my Fage 0% plain greek yogurt 18 gr Protein 100 calories!!! i ate about 4-6 oz early out don't really remember how long it took to eat it was definately slow "later" you can mix it with 1/2 dozen fresh blueberries yummy i bought/used baby spoons put yogurt on little spoon then put my spoon down for a minute using small utensils (and plates) "makes"/help you eat slower not a bad idea at this early stage, and later too good luck kathy

    Rough weekend

    @@2bullymom hi there sorry you had such a hard/trying weekend many people do feel overwhelmed/tired early PO you are in good company there is nothing you can do about the past good news is the future is waiting for you some people do have trouble at your early stage hard to get water/protein in liquids are more important than Protein protein is VERY important BUT for now concentrate on getting more Water in try drinking water at room temperature have crystal light drink sip very slowly but you MUST push the liquids if you don't drink enough, possible to get dehydrated have to go to hospital receiving IV's to hydrate you no fun you are only 5 weeks and having problems???? Get Over It you are just starting your lifetime journey with new eating/drinking habits too early to screw up already good you've realized the "error of your ways " a little guilt is ok/good shows that you care, and want to get back on program learned a "lessen" and won't do again??? you gotta get back on the "shtick" with your eating/drinking!!!!! i know you can and will get back to eating healthy otherwise i have to rap you upside your head you said ." I have done very well so far," you can do it again raise your right hand and promise to "do better" i know you can/will be a success good luck kathy

    @@FishingNurse @@SLEEVE of Steel traveling incognito are we so happy to see you glad you continue to do well never doubted you for a minute 4 years success plus many more to follow how great are you!!! keep up the good job i am 3+ years PO healthier, happier than i've ever been!! still cute as a button!! no trouble with 64+ oz Water a day no drinking 30 minutes before i eat no drinking during meal (sometime a sip or two) don't drink for 45 minutes after i eat follow all the other good stuff too!!! (for the most part!!) i am not perfect (hard to believe!!!) not always enough Protein too many carbs sometimes don't exercise enough i do fluctuate 3-5 lbs i am a little over goal 134.3 lbs but not 235!!!! i WILL get back to goal sooner than later i want that 5 lbs wiggle room too wow honesty is all that it is cracked up to be LOL OMG i spilled my guts out to you guess you have that effect!!! hope to see more of you even though i'm seeing "less and less" of you!!! kathy

GET OVER IT check with surgeon when popcorn is allowed all docs will give different answers about everything kernels can get stuck could/probably cause serious problems you want to try "just" 3-4 bites GET OVER IT you have a new itsy bitsy teeny, tiny tummy respect it/take care of it DOC might tell you to ie 6 months or so before popcorn that is how long i had to wait do whatever your doc says you are never ever supposed to bring food into theaters!!! people have been shot for less that being said.......... i pop small bag of Orville Redenbocker 100 calorie put in tupperware container also a bottle of Water then i put in large empty bag ie store bag like Kohl's I'm good to go haven't been arrested "yet" the direct answer to your question @12 days PO - no way!!! GOT IT - GET IT - GOOD?? people sometimes go a "little" overboard with the way they answer questions we all have our ways of "talking" on the board you and others should "try" not to let a few peoples comments upset/bother you we are basically great people here (especially me) opinions are like asssssholes - we all have one continued speedy recovery good luck kathy
  10. @@mandyq1985 this is such a "shittttty" issue someone had to say it having diarrhea is very common early PO DEAL WITH IT how long will diarrhea last your guess is as good as mine BUTTTT everything comes out in the end sorry you are going through this problem hopefully you'll get better sooner than later good luck kathy

    PRK Surgery

    @@jersey_girl_86 you should/need to talk to the doc who performed the PRK call surgeons office too for his comments better safe than sorry we're here to give advice suggestions, experiences my "thought" is there shouldn't be a problem but at the end of the day always listen to your doc/surgeon he's the expert I googled PRK understand the pros and cons wasn't made clear end results which has better results?? PRK or Lasik??? I took a dummy pill this morning instead of my Vitamin hope surgery went well and you are happy with the results WLS in 2 weeks you are on the road to a healthier, happier, longer life good luck kathy

    @@TheNewJulie great pics sorry you have gotten a lot shorter my mistake - that is your kiddo lovin your words and attitude above happiness IS all that is cracked up to be if you want to/feel like loosing a little more weight so be it but to be happy/satisfied is what its all about sad that we are seeing "less and less" of you but that goes hand and hand with weight loss keep enjoying the new you and everything that goes along with that for the rest of your healthier, happier, longer life who deserves it more 100 lbs gone!!! don't look at me i didn't take them keep up the good work i know you will kathy congrats

    @@agalindo17 sorry you had a rough day first few days PO can be hard new little tummy might be rebelling right now saying stuff like, "what have you done to me?" "I" am hurting YOU know you just had major/life changing surgery try and explain it to your unhappy tummy "it" will come around feel better, so will you many people do drink room temp Water or chrystal light maybe one of those will go down easier tears are fine let your emotions out hopefully that will make you feel better here is a new box of kleenex in a couple of days, you might not need any more you are on your way to a healthier, happier, longer life who deserves it more? good luck speedy recovery kathy

    @@WatchXXhrink many, many of us!!! its understandable to be nervous scared before surgery you are about to have major/life changing surgery it would be in vain if i tried to tell you stuff to help you calm down you've probably been awake all night while they are doing surgery, take a nap "they" know what they are doing you'll wake up PO with the knowledge that you are about to embark on a new happier, healthier, longer life. Who deserves it more good luck kathy

  22. @@Alex Brecher does anyone else have this problem?? i like to see all the new threads, posts through notification works for me by the end of the day i will have deleted all i know bariatric pal receiving a zillion emails, works for me i used to get them all - no prob for the past couple of weeks or more............... there will be short/long breaks from one post to another new posts pop up irregularly, minutes/hours apart happens different times of day and night i'll wake up ie at 2:00 am to empty my bladder (drink soooo much ) i will go to my laptop, pull up the site to "see" the time lapse between posts i will reopen site "usually" no change this morning again, no new emails over a 6 hour period happen to anyone else??? btw i have firefox and use a lap top thanx for any info/help kathy

    Of course I'm losing weight where I don't want to @@kyrickchick64 bet my asssss is smaller than your asssss i always heard that the last place you gained weight, that's how/where the weight will start coming off if you do sit ups, leg lifts etc i heard you can't successfully loose in one specific area you can target ie the stomach or legs, but it doesn't usually come off that way weight should comes off in different areas - when it wants to my tushy also "disappeared" thats ok by me "BUTTT " i don't miss it strange, after 2+ years maintenance i never had a problem sitting et al tush is flat but doesn't hurt when i sit or anything thats a good thing the OP mentioned using one of "those" cushions that should help keep up the good work kathy

    @@coleenrenee your surgeon had all your info height, weight, age, etc hospital says no weight limit doc says you have been approved "sounds" like you should be good to go many people try (or have to) loose weight prior to surgery the more you loose now the less you have to loose PO makes silly sense of course loosing 5-10 lbs or more would be great surgery easier for doc (safer for you) since your liver has shrunk a bit there is a board on here for weight loss with specific amounts to loose 50+ lbs 100 lbs 200 lbs too find the "200 lb" board your question might be answered by people around your weight best of luck on your journey speedy recovery kathy
