Well, I am an ICU nurse. I take care of the gastric sleeve patients post-op. I have two wonderful sons that are 10 and 13. I am engaged to be married to the most amazing man from the Netherlands later this year. Like most of you, I have done all the diets and lost the weight only to turn around and gain it back plus some every time. I have a lot of pain from all my nursing injuries and being overweight just makes them worse. So, I finally decided to bite the bullet and have the surgery. I am scheduled for surgery June 27th and I look forward to my new life. I know there will be ups and downs for a while, but I am hopeful that in the end I will look back and know it was all worth it when I am walking down that aisle a much slimmer gal.
