  1. Here is mine finally figured it out I hope this helps. Digital Copy Sleeve 02-01-11.doc
  2. Leslie How are you doing after surgery the other day??? Tell me all about it. Yes, I asked my Doc for information about after the surgery as I wanted to see (actually start) how I would have to eat before and after. So he gave me the after surgery disc they have. I printed it out and have in a 3 ring binder. It is very helpful and is allowing me time to get my head around the life change. It is a big change but one well worth the effort and time!!!! If I could just get motivated to excercise, that would be better. Still working on that. Hope you are recovering well, keep me posted...
  3. My sugeron has a wonderful disk about pre and post op information. I am trying to attach it for you but it won't let me, if you will give me your email address I will be glad to email you the info.
  4. Did they do a hernia repair as well??? please take it easy and sip, sip, sip - walk, walk, walk. You will do great.
  5. Great job on the weight lost!!! Wow, I hope I get to see pics. How are you feeling???? Any trouble with clear liquids, protein and such????
  6. Wow want a rollercoaster ride you have had...please let us know how you progress. Best wishes to your upcoming surgery!!!!!
  7. Kelly L Thank you so much for the food tips. When I get home tonight, I a boiling some eggs (why didn't I think of that). I am going to get some of those chicken beasts and cook them up too. Never thought of the ranch dressing mix in the yogurt. I am gonna try that. Thank you again for all your ideas. They really help!!!
  8. dreynolds05, I am there I gave up my McDonalds sweet tea and was fortunate to see a small weight loss because of it. I know what you mean about the sub and chips. I will be glad when we both have a tool that will help us with portion size. I stuggle so with that. Please keep me posted on your progress and I will do the same. Good Luck
  9. I flew Southwest in March and had not problems at all. In fact, when i walk onto the plane, I always ask the stewardess for an extender right then so they don't have to bring me one later. I was not fortunate to have any one traveling with me so I put my sweater in the seat next to me and lucky, no one sat there so I could lift the arm rest and "spread out". Travel with your head high and enjoy your vacation and family.
  10. That is great news. Please keep us posted, anixous to see how you do in the next few days. Glad you are doing so well!!!!!
  11. There I said it, I am a convenient eater. If it is easy for me to eat then it is in my mouth. I am pre-op waiting 2 more supervised diet visits then hopefully surgery at the end of September or October. I have been trying to eat 1/2 cup amounts every 2-3 hours like I will be doing after surgery. I am eating high protein and trying to keep my carbs under 30 grams daily. So far I have lost 45 lbs since i started. Here is my issue, I am still in the same old habit of grabbing premixed protein drinks, already made fruit cups and applesauce and of course greek yogurt. I can't even get motivated to get up earlier to fix me an egg in the morning instead of the shake. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME!!! I so want to change as I know the convenient eating is what got me in this unhealthy state I am in now. Fast Foods, Eating Out, it is such an quick solution to hunger. Even now, when I am trying to eat as I will after my sleeve, I continue to look for the easy way to feed me. Are there others out there like this???? What pointers do you have that I can use? Please help
  12. Leslie How was your surgery? You sound in good spirits to have had surgery yesterday. How is it going??? take care :-)
  13. We would never judge you, silly Kayyybeee!!!! I am with you, whether they print it or not - of course as you stated when you have that kind of money a personal trainer and personal chef make it easier than for us "normal" folks.
  14. WOW WORK IT GIRL GREAT JOB!!!!!
  15. Please keep us posted on your progress and how things go at home. I hope they will let you take some of the "mystery shots" home with you or at least in liquid form. Best wishes and a speedy, uneventful recovery.
  16. I am preop and my surgeon stated I will have to take Prilosec for the rest of my life which I have been taking for years anyway so it isn't a big deal for me. Like the others have said, you best check with your doctor and don't be surprise if Prilosec or some type of PPI becomes your daily routine. Good Luck.
  17. Thinking of you and knowing you are doing great Lil Sister. Can't wait to hear how all is going for you. Let me know you are ok as I know you will be. I am so excited for you!!!!!
  18. Gaylebco I too am trying to not drink before, during and after meals but it is not working for me either. I have tried putting the dring in the frig or out of reach. Finally, I started putting a post it note on my glass and in the frig on my "water drawer" that says, IS IT TIME YET???? So far it is working. If I eat out and they bring me water, I put my knife in it to remind me. I have to have visual aids to remember things. Not sure this will help you but I hope so. Good Luck in your quest and let us know what you find works for you.
  19. GREAT JOB remember walk walk walk, sip sip sip Keep us posted on your progress.
  20. I have read articles about hair growth and it states that the hair grows in 3 months cycle. This is only temporary and you will get hair back as soon as the hair goes back into growth cycle which should be about 3 months. I wonder if you start Biotin before surgery that would help??? I am still in pre-op dieting. Thanks for the heads up...good luck
  21. Decamom, per the Atkins diet website, fiber should be subtracted from the overall carb as this is a good carbs and can be broken down into good energy not just sugar energy. You can also subtract sugar alcohol as these are good carbs as well. At least that is what I learned from the Atkins website. I have trouble keeping my carbs below 30 grams daily - it is a hard battle but one worthy of conquering. Good Luck to us all.
  22. Heather, I too am doing the high protein, low carb pre-op diet and have lost 45 lbs. I have been drinking alot of the Atkins protein shakes trying to get ready for the liquid diet as well. I have also been working on my self made protein shakes (I am a convience eater so the pre mix seem to work better for me but I am changing that due to expense). I am trying to make my pre-op as much liquids as I can. I haven't been hungry or had any cravings yet. I have one soft meal daily and the rest are liquids of course lots of water in between. I too am curious as to how other have done their pre-op diets in preparation for surgery. Continued success on your WL, Heather, you are doing great.
  23. Fantastic work and I am so glad for you. I can't wait to have my sleeve and be able to move and do more things. Please keep us posted on your progess. This really helps us "wanna be's or so to be's" keep going forward to our goal of being a sleever. Best of luck to you!!!!
  24. WOW AND DOUBLE WOW What a great job and a fantastic inspiration. I am still pre-op and your story gives me great hope!!! I have 2 more months supervised diet before I will be in the elite company of your great people. I can hardly wait. Please keep sharing your victories. This is great and so are you!!!
