Pre Surgery Anemia
Shell, did they give you iron pills to take pre-op??? during lapascopic surgery you have minimial blood loss but you should ask your surgeon or their office staff. You could also call your PCP, please call someone for proper instruction. I would start taking iron pills, you should already be on multi-vitamins. Keep us posted as to your progress and so glad you have a date for surgery!!!!!

No support from boyfriend and family
Have you talked plainly to your beloved about your feelings and letting him know you are doing this for your health and to feell better??? My beloved was semi-supportive and scared he may lose me. I do everything I can to reassure him my "outside shell" is changing, not the "inside soul" of me!!! I love him with all I am and try to make sure he knows that daily. He has since been very supported and encouraging. Talk to him and make sure he knows how much you love and need him more than ever to be there for you thorough your journey. Keep us posted on your journey.

A PRE-OP VICTORY YEAH FOR ME
I am still in my pre-op stage of VSG with 1 more supervised PCP visit for my insurance required 6 supervised diet visits. So far I have lost 49 pounds as I have been "practicing" eating as I will after surgery. I went to my PCP Friday and was taken off my high blood pressure medicine. I am so excited!!!!!! I have been on HBP meds for over 20 years so this is BIG for me. I just had to share for those who are Preopers like me, you can do this and it is worth the preparation to get that smaller liver, lose what you can before surgery and change those habits now. Eating slow and sipping are the hardest for me, but I am still working on it. Thanks for all the support each of you give on this site. I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!!!!

Someone send positive vibes my way...
You stated you upped your fat did you try upping your protein??? with all that water or you watching or eliminating your salt??? I would say you need to keep doing what you know is right and stop watching the scales. I have heard so often on this site, throw the scales away or weight only once a week or one every two. Don't be down, you have accomplished alot and you will continue to do so. make sure you are journaling everything you eat and drink. Keep us posted and good luck.
-
I have to be honest....
Why do doctors do that?????? I would say try to walk or some type of exercise that will help burn those calories and move that silly scale. If you are following his insturctions you should be find. You are so close don't back up now, you can do it!!!! best wishes and keep us posted

Be a Body Listener - Not a Body Big Mouth
Great information and great insight. I am still preop and your words ring so true. I am trying hard to retrain my brain and mind to small bites, longer eat times and SIPS not gulps. Hopefully it will help when i do get my VSG. Thanks again for the post and please keep them coming!!!!
