Notice you have problems with balance. Something that helped me with balance is my Wii fit. I have the balance board, and I have improved dramaticly from when I started. Hasn't so much helped with weightloss up to this point. But I am soon to remedy that. Good luck to you.

I know at this time I am so excited I havent had time to be afraid. When reality sinks in I am sure I will be.

Welcome and glad to you are progressing nicely. I haven't had my surgery yet, less than a month away, but it is encouraging to hear from folks who are doing well. Everyone on this forum has been very helpful. No matter what it is some one has experienced it and are willing to share it.

Sorry for your disappointment. I was originally wanting a band until I went to a lapband seminar. I had never even heard of the sleeve before then. There are alot of people who have had great success with the lapband. There are successes and failures with every form of WLS or diets or work out plans. You will just have to make your mind up to make the lap band a success for you. It will be a tool. Sometimes we have to deal with the hand we are given. You are fortunate that your insurance will pay for a lapband, Mine wouldn't pay for anything because I have nothing wrong with me except being over weight. So don't stress just be thankful that you are able to receive some help, not exactly in the form you were wanting, but help just the same. Good luck to you and God Bless!

Yep I am about 4 a day...I catch it on sale I might 10- 6 packs of the 24 oz bottles. That is about all that is in my pantry. My boss knows about my pending surgery and he is well aware of my DMD addiction, I told him he was going to have Hell to pay when I give up my drug of choice. He just laughed (his office is across from mine) said he would shut his door. Glad to hear that some else kicked the DMD addiction. Small sacrifice to be thin. Good luck to you. Keep us posted.

imawhodat, I am so sorry you are having a bad time of it. I won't have my sleeve until the 27th of next month. But right now as you are reading this hold out your hand and feel me holding yours as we pray... Dear Father God, Please wrap your loving arms around this wonderful woman you have created. Give her reassurance that she has done the right thing. Help to take her pain and give her comfort that only you can give. Help her to be strong and be with her caregivers to be there for her and to help her through this process. We know you have a great plan for her life and that you will be there everystep of the way. Help her to feel your nearness on this new journey. Dear Father we pray for your healing and mercy. You are our Creator and promise to deliver the desires of our hearts. We faithly and humbly pray. I am getting my sleeve July 27th in Mexico. I am starting my pre-op diet July 4. So far I have been having food funerals. I know there are differing points of view on this. Some say it is ok and some get hostile when some one admits to it. I have actually been eating things that I normally never buy. I am a dt mtn dew addict and I think that will be the hardest thing for me to give up. When I decided on the sleeve then found out I would have to give it up....I actually hesitated. Then the good Lord put the thought into my mind, I could give up something that really is not beneficial or I could get this weight off permanently....then I thought how totally rediculous!! So here I am and starting Monday I am one a day until the 4th and I will be weaned off. So Good Luck to all the July 2011 losers!!! Cheers to a new beginning!

This will so cool. My mom wanted to go with me, she even offered to buy her own ticket. She doesn't have a passport and frankly I cannot picture her walking around Tijuana alone, or getting something to eat. She had led and even more sheltered life than I have. lol This is a good sign. I am going alone to Mexico. I am scheduled for July 27th, Dr. Almanza. I am like you it will save about $1000 and I think they would be bored watching me sleep. I am totally at peace about this and I have prayed about it. My daughter is apprehensive about me going alone but I am sure I will be fine. Lots of people have gone it alone. Good luck to you. Hello Tracy, we can be sleeve sisters, I am getting my sleeve July 27th also. I eat mostly from boredom and I simply enjoy eating. I am going to do a 3 week liquid Protein diet pre-op. I have not had counseling, and I am self pay in Mexico, so didn't have to have a psych eval. I wish you luck on your wls journey as well as your journey of self discovery.

I am new to this forum too and the responses from everyone has been so encouraging and has just helped me to have the courage to do this. Just reinforces what I am doing is the right thing.
