I think your doing great so far, my goal is to be down 50 Pounds before my husband gets home for R&R from Afgan, I cant wait to see the look in his eyes when he sees me! Another goal is im a shopaholic and once I do lose the 50 pounds I get to go buy me some new jeans off the shelf. Keep up the good work and if u want to cheat have one day a week where u can have a small something that way ull be looking forward to your cheat day

I was on clear liquid diet for 2 weeks but cheated a couple time during the first week. And the surgery isnt bad at all, I woke up and felt like I couldnt breathe but they gave me meds and oxygen and I was fine. You just feel sore, you have to get up and walk walk walk! Thats all I did and yes you will feel nausea but its not bad either, I had gotten my galbladder out in Oct 2010 and that surgery and post op was horrible I couldnt move! But I was sleeping on my stomach day of surgery. Good luck and congrats on your decision

Haha I was banded June 21 and hun it is scary its a life change but man its worth it! You will have a new you and you who you will be proud to be a healthy you! I was horrible at the liquid diet I cheated the first week aftr 2 days but got right back on it and lost 13 pounds in 9-10 days, as for the surgery I wasnt nervous or anything when I got to the hospital but as soon as they wheeled me back to the OR I started to freak my nurse had the Band and assured me it was well worth it, post op isnt bad of course you will be sore but get up and walk and walk and walk. After surgery the diet isnt bad at all, I am just trying to say its not as bad as you think! You choose the surgery for a reason and just keep your goal in mind. I to am not an expert but I can be here to help support you!

I was in your same position I have wanted a Lap Band for 4-5 years now but couldnt afford it out of pocket then, when my daughter was 3 months old I found out my insurance actually coverd the lap band, my doctor said that he would even consider me until my baby was a year old and I was completely bummed then when my daughter was about 10 months old I switched doctors and he actually refered me but that didnt mean I was approved I then moved from NY to TX and changed doctors yet again got referred again and went to my first appointment to find out I was approved now my surgery is in less than a week and im so excited I cant believe after all these years of wanting the LapBand I finally get it! Keep your head up it will happen for you!
