    surgery done in Syria

congratulations for the surgery:) I am happy for you. It is the best decision I have ever taken in my life.
  3. Congratulations beaglemamma for your success. I still have one week to Celebrate my 2 months anniversary. I like your sentence ( it's that I was fortunate to have a successful surgery with no complications. I did not take this surgery lightly and I did a ton of soul-searching before doing it. I feel so lucky to be writing this today, healthy and feeling good). This is excatly How I feel. I lost 37.5 pounds so far. I was afraid that this surgery will be complicated and I will suffer problems that were never there before and I am so thankful I am still alive and in better health, lighter, and decreased my risk for diabetes, hypertension, breast and ovarian cancer.
  4. yes I was feeling hungry that early out. your explanation is true. your stomach empty fluids quickly and you get hungry again. but anyway you will never be able to overeat with the sleeve. when you move to mushies and solid, it will get better but don't drink the 45 minutes after you eat so as not to hasten the process of gastric emptying. I read another explanation in obesity help site that nerves around the stomach have been cut and they need time for regeneration. these nerves are responsible for sending the signal of being full. so after 6 weeks when nerve regeneration is complete, you will be able to stay full for longer periods. my hunger was severe at the very beginning. also part of it that I was really curious to test the behaviour of different food with the sleeve. Now, at 6 weeks out, I don't feel hungry. it gets very very much better. so just hang in there. what you are going through could be pretty normal as many friends that early out reported being hungry. but rest assured, It will get better over time. best wishes.
  5. I read in some place that post sleeve we can consume only 500 calories a day and on other sites 600-800. I get about 700-800 calories most days. do I need to work more on reducing my calories? I am 40 days away from surgery and I lost 30 pounds. I need to speed up losing the weight but I don't know how. I try to walk daily for 30 minutes. I dream about losing 10 more pounds by new year's eve as I am invited to attend the wedding of a very close friend. wish me luck. Love you all.
  6. congratulations ML for the surgery. I am glad you are feeling fine. wishing you a speedy recovery. lots of love.
  7. may be you need to talk to your doctor about taking so many pills that early post operative. first month I was taking only chewable centrum twice daily. now I started to take multivitamin. one type was really nauseating and I could not tolerate. then I bought another multivitamin called ULTRA WOMAN from Good N Natural and i take it very easily without any nausea even on an empty stomach. I hope you will feel better very soon.

    feeling really down

just stay away from chocolate. I agree with you that it is easy to eat chocolate but the miracle about the sleeve that you can get this Full feeling after eating half an apple for example or half an orange. You just have to make good choice and you will get this feeling of being saturated with food and after that you want to stay away from food very much. so try some fresh fruit slices next time you are hungry. you are not alone. we can all make bad choices at time. The sleeve will work! Believe in this!

    Struggling

well, I am not losing that fast too but what I learnt from our friends here, that 600-800 calories a day should be okay but try to focus on getting your proteins and drinking your water. they do help! do u walk? I think even 20 minutes a day walking will be great. I think we are all a bit impatient too. forget about the scale for a while. How far are you from surgery? I am almost 6 weeks out. the weight was coming off really fast first 2 weeks then it is slowing down but I am losing. best wishes Ivy and keep in touch. we are here to help each other.

I had all night epigastric pain after this spoon of honey. thanks
  15. hi all dea friends, today I have been shopping. I was size 22 presurgery. now after one month. size 22 is really lose and baggy. I am so ashamed of it. may be I need size 20 by now. I don't want to go shopping though until I drop more pounds. today I was looking size 14 in promod and I was so nieve and insisted to try one jeans size 14 on:) I saw all kind of strange looks but I did not care...lol...anyway, I was very disappointed. the jeans could not go beyond my BIG toe:) is it possible that someone who was size 20-22 one day to be really able to wear jeans size 14 one day!! plz let me know if it is possible? that will be my dream. Jeans size 14 can be found everywhere. I always had a big wide hips and big butt. have a good day everybody.

    Do you crave sweets?

I understand what you are talking about 100%. I am going through this too. you should not be ashamed of anything. but I read that nerves around the stomach being cut during surgery and they need time to recover. my hunger is getting less every day.
  20. provided there is no comlications, you will feel really great at 7 weeks out, more light and more energetic but go easy on the food. and follow your doctor's food plan. if you experienced intolerance to one food item, reintroduce it not before one month. I imagine soft and pureed food will be going great.
