Could also be that the food is too tough. Are you having milk/ dairy products? I have the same issue after eating but surgeon said it may be an intolerance to lactose foods or "rich" foods. Keep Track of what you have eaten when this happens and you may see a pattern if you have a developing intolerance

Ok, it might be prudent to order a book from amazon.com, as there are books that will give you so much information on how to live with your sleeve. Here's one I saw today:
The Sleeved Life: A Patient-to-Patient Guide on Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy Weight Loss Surgery [Paperback]
    Pennie Nicola (Author)
But for a quick overview here is some info I think might be helpful:
From 4-6 weeks you should probably still be eating soft foods. Aim for 65 or more grams of protein a day, and 64 oz of fluids and that includes all fluids which should be sugar free. Sample soft menu, high protein foods:
    Breakfast
    Softly cooked eggs
    Cottage Cheese
    Yogurt
    Hot Cereal
    Soft Fruit
    Lunch
    Soups are perfect
Fish - tuna is a great choice
Refried beans with melted cheese/sour cream
    Chili Beans
Soft cooked meats and poultry (crock pot is great for this)
    Soft cooked veggies
    Dinner
Again, soft cooked meats and poultry or fish
    Soft cooked veggies
    Snacks
    Yogurt
    SF jello or pudding
You will probably need to have at least one high protein shake per day to be able to meet your protein needs. I use Pure Protein powder for 25 grams of protein.
    Take a multi-vitamin everyday, and calcium citrate, a B12 sublingual 2 days a week, and a B-complex 50 with thiamin daily.
After 6 weeks, start adding regular meats, chicken and fish, salads and a more normal diet, but start slow and see if you can tolerate.
You can probably eat about 4 ounces or half a cup per meal and eventually 6-8 ounces.
Good luck...and no drinking with meals, wait 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after your meals!!

Our protocal at work for someone in your situation, after we have confirmed it with flouroscopy, is an unfill and liquids for 2 weeks. Under flouroscopy your pouch would more than likely show a dilation, basicly creating a "stomach on top of your stomach" and have "pissed" your stomach off with constant vomiting and BPing, in non technical terms. Your stomach is retaliating by swelling. By having an unfill and doing liquids you give your stomach a chance to relax and calm down, thus reducing the swelling and decreasing the dilation by not having solids sit in the pouch with nowhere to go. By liquids I am talking about protien drinks, healthy smoothies, soups in a blender, nothing with lumps or bumps. Please don't take this a medical advise, just my opinion as a band fill nurse who see's these complaints on a daily bases.

Good thinking! I would also recommend that you start reducing your liquid intake when eating since you'll have to wait 20-30 Mins after you finish before you can drink. Its hard if you stop once you are banded! Keep up the good thoughts!!

I am a fill nurse and fill approximatly 20 patients a day at the surgeons office. We do our fills under flouroscopy each and every time. That gives us the ability to find the port without multiple tries and also do a barium swallow to adjust the fill as needed instead of "guessing" as to how much of a fill a patient needs. What size band do you have?
It sounds like you are too tight. When you are not able to eat you will not lose weight. Whatever you are able to keep down your body is holding onto because it thinks you are starving it so its going to hold on to all the weight you have.
