  1. I also have a 14cc band, I am a little over a year out. I am down over 80 pounds now (ticker updated soon-Tuesday after Dr. visit) I have 5.5cc or 6.5cc in my band, why? well I have a tipped port and the Dr wasn't sure the first fill went in so he did it again. I think they both went in lol. I had good restriction since then. Since I was tight most of the day till early afternoon have not had a fill in about 4 months. Now that is it is getting cooler I seem to be hungry more now. Band tightens in the summer I guess. So I am hoping to get a fill on Tuesday 9.3.. they will pull out to see how much I have in my band since the Dr. did not note in my chart that he did two fills. Since my port is tipped he has to do the fills, I am going to be sure to tell the nurse to make sure he checks how much is in my band.
  2. I sent request also. I am user name Marylmcd54
  3. I went shopping again to buy smaller sizes since all my clothes are so big on me now. I am down a little over 80 pounds now, little over a year out from being banded. I keep graviatating towards the larger sizes that don't fit. I too bought an extra large button shirt! I am very pleased with my weightloss so far too! Helen098 doesn't just feel great to shop in smaller sizes!!!!
  4. I have a goal of 175 once I hit that I will take a hard look at how I look, how I feel. Once I wieghed 140 doing WW and people thought I was sick.. I do not want to look sick or ill. I have 23 more pounds to go to get to that wieght. I have lost 80.6 pounds in a little over a year.
  5. I am down almost 80 pounds and my cup size has not changed! Just the around size has gone from 44 to a 38 but soon need to maybe purchase a 36 lol. I just wish I could lose from my waist down now and stop losing in my face.
  6. I am right there with you! I get gas from almost everything I eat or drink. sip water and burp like I drank a beer! (hate beer) Love my chili, but can't take it for lunch since it gives me gas. I have tried anti gas chewables too and they don't help.. anyone have anything better to use for unwanted gas?
  7. I have some discomfort in my chest when I eat too fast or swallow too much at one time. But I have never had to bring something up and I am a year out from surgery.
  8. 1. no huffing and puffing while walking, now walk for 4-6 miles within an hour! 2. no meds except stupid thyroid med. 3 buying smaller clothes, problem is have to buy them often lol 4 feeling better and not being able to sit still!
  9. WTG! You are on your way to being healthy!
  10. v- No I have not seen your video.
  11. One year ago today I had lap band surgery! I am down 74.4 pounds and have lost 60% of my weight! I love my band, it was just the help I needed after years of yo-yo dieting! I want to lose another 29 pounds. Once I get those 29 off I will really think if I need to lose another 10. First picture is now 2nd picture was a week after surgery.
  12. Your probably too tight in the morning to eat them. I have had issues with them when in an omlet.. I can only eat breakfast around 9:30am-10am. This is after I have a couple of cups of decaf coffee.
  13. I wasn't counting till just recently. I was playing with the same couple of pounds so was getting mad. I started using myfitnesspal.com and now stay at or around 1200 calories and watch my carbs, fats and protein intake. I have started losing again, last week I was down over 4 pounds. Hoping for 2 pounds a week. I declined a fill last month and just started doing the daily tracking. I am still undecided if I need a fill in a couple of weeks. I guess if I am tracking and eating the right foods I can still lose without one.
  14. I am almost a year out and I tell EVERYONE about my band! I don't care what they think it was right for me. A funny story last week I was in a casino store getting water and they asked for my license.. I said sorry it doesn't look like me anymore... a women asked why? I said because I had lap band surgery last year. Just before after I said it big guy came in and said did what? I told him what I had said.. he said " I am having a gastro by pass in a few weeks! I think the word is out there that you can be healthy and get help!! I say spread the word! (in the right situations anyway)
  15. I love yogurt! I buy the non fat plain yogurt 32oz container and mix in Sugar free pudding mix. Cheesecake flavor and Banana cream are really good! I will have to try your idea soon! Yummy, but now the question ..am I over eating yogurt?
  16. I have to say.. I have been only weighing once a week, unless of course I don't like what it said I changed my weigh day from Saturday to Monday, but think I am going back to Saturday since it helps me stay focus on chosing the right foods on the weekend. I am almost 11 months out and loses have really slowed down. I am going to start to shake up what I am eating and see if it helps. I think I have been eating too many of the same things over and over.
  17. I do not stick with the 4oz, I make sure I eat all my protein and very few carbs. Just try to eat healthy and get all the required protein in. I make better choices than prior to my surgery, I watch that my snacks have 5 or less grams of fat and 5 or less grams of sugar. I do stay away from sweets, since those were my downfall. I have not had chocolate candy in almost a year. If I want chocolate I have sugar free chocolate pudding. I am down close to 75 pounds, I think I am almost where I need to be for fills too.
  18. Congrats! I have not been below 200 in 15 years! I am so close weighed Monday at 211...can't wait to join you! I hope to be at least 199 by my band aniversary July 25. I know I can, I know I can, I know I can ect!
  19. Congrats! For me that is going to be a milestone!! I am 16 pounds away ..hope to join you soon!
  20. Mine loves to rumble and I am also almost 9 months out. It seems to do it more when on liquids after a fill.
  21. OMG, That is a lot of pressure for only 3 weeks out! I would take all the advice above, I too would be careful with the veggies. I have problems with lettuce, broccoli and I am almost 9 months out from surgery.
  22. Oh my... guess this just makes me me more nervous...I have appointment in an hour with my surgeon. I went on Thursday and the two nurses could not find my port to give me a fill. They stuck me about 15 times.. I am hoping they did not pierce my tubing... My first fill was a nightmare, but I have had several since and they were fine. I am really hoping the Dr can find the port..I can't feel it either! I love my band and I am almost at the right amount of liquid and don't want to lose this restriction!! Thanks for letting me vent and posting your issues so I know this could be on going problem.
  23. Had a Dr. appointment this morning and nurses could not find my port to give me a fill. I have to go back on Tuesday to see the surgeon and if he can not do it then I need to go to the hospital for fluro fill. I love my band and just needed a little fill so I am venting sorry. I also want to update my ticker so need to click on it I guess oh I am down 60 pounds since July 25 2012!
