  1. I did mean 3 weeks, and 12 lbs in 3 weeks. About 10 of it came off the first few days. I ate just about nothing, and the rest went right through me.

As for not exercising for "one second" mickp24, I wouldn't brag about that. You know darn good and well thats part of this whole deal!! I understand if you have physical limitations but I don't and I need to get my ass moving. I cannot survive on 750 calories a day. I'm busy at work--I'm a nurse--and I have about 20 other things going on too, so getting the proper nutrition is definetly a need, but not 750 calories. More like 1200. And even that is difficult sometimes. I can't live on cream of wheat for 6 months lol, I don't even like it. For the most part, I do make good choices. But I beat myself up for little things like an extra cup of milk, or an extra few bites of something.

Thanks zil for the encouragement. Its so funny how different doctors tell us different things; my Dr. said to go and exercise as soon as I feel ready, if its 3 days post-op or 3 weeks post-op, but to make it a priority in the day. Or, getting fills at certain intervals--he told me he wouldn't even think of filling me for 6 weeks at least...I'm really looking forward to it. I'm hoping it curbs the hunger. (I'm not REALLY starving, just experiencing hunger, which always gives me a headache if I don't eat something soon after).

Thanks all for the comments, I do appreciate all of them. Good luck to all of us smile.png

  2. I was dreading it at first, but now its just another day to me. I'm gonna eat my yogurt for breakfast, some refried beans for lunch, and a small portion of each yummy turkey day food. And thats it :) Keep on trucking. Once you have the band in, you will realize just how much you like to eat when its not necessary. I cannot believe how much I depend on food to comfort me :( And thats pretty much what holiday food is for. That band will signal to your brain that you HAVE to follow the diet or you will screw up all that hard work and $ for a lousy burger/pasta/bread etc w/e it is that we cheat on.

I guess my point is, YOU CAN DO IT!!!! You have birthed 2 kids, and you have a good support system on here :) We're all rootin for ya!! Good luck, take it one minute at a time if you have to!!

  3. Thank you ladies, I appreciate it. He has apologized profusely in his own way this weekend, but its too late. And as you said/I said, its all about me right now. I've waited to long for this experience and I'm not screwing it up with a guy.

YES BEST OF LUCK TO ALL OF US :)

Also, I have a question. Is it normal at all to have any acid reflux feeling/symptoms after eating even if it something on our approved plans?? I still have it sometimes. It scares me...I don't want anything bad to happen to me and Mr. Band!!

Hope you all had a good weekend,
