    Hello my fellow WLS peeps. I am on a mission to lose 50 pounds that I have regained. I am feeling hopeful and know that getting back to basics will do it. I would like this thread to be a place where we can come and be transparent and accountable. I plan on checking in with a weigh in every Monday starting tomorrow.     I had surgery in September of 2013 and I have had the same gain (about 50 lbs). I realized that I got away from the the 4 golden rules that I agreed too when I got this surgery

    1) Protein first
    2) Water water water
    3) exercise
    4) avoid snacking on empty calories

    After I lost my weight, I threw those basics out the window and started eating as though I didn't suffer from obesity. We can get this weight off, I went back to basics since Tuesday and have lost 5 pounds. Let's do this together.

    Good morning friends! It's Monday and time for my weigh in. I stayed on track all week and weekend and feel great! I have lost some weight since last week so I am really happy about that. Excited to get out of the 200's! When I got back on track two weeks ago, I started at 209 so I am proof that we can get this weight off when we decide that enough is enough. We can all do this and I love the encouraging support system that we have established on this thread. Rooting for each and everyone one of you.

    Good morning friends!

    Just checking in, how is everyone doing? I just got back from my walk/jog and happy I went. It's a mental struggle to get to it but I've decided it's just something I am going to get up and do no matter how I feel. I want to get to the point that I like exercise (which has never happened in my life). Little changes will add up, of that I am sure. I am trying not to be obsessed with the scale and have decided that I will not step on it until Monday when I weigh in. I am trying to change my mindset and create lasting lifestyle changes verses just trying to get skinny. I have gone back to the basics of:

    1) Protein first
    2) Water water water
    3) no drinking 30 mins before and after meals
    4) exercise
    5) no snacking

    I am committed and know we can all do this. We will have ups and downs but please don't disappear if you feel defeated, let's make the decision to support one another and see each other through losing this regain. Praying and rooting for each and every one of you️

    We got this Kathy! I try to walk/jog 5 days a week. I am more in the habit forming phase right now as I have to talk myself into doing it everyday. I think with the support we will be able to do this!

    Awesome that you are weightlifting Slim, keep it up. Yea, sometimes the scales plays games when we add something to our routines that it's not used too. Give it a few weeks and you will see the fruit of your labor. I want to start weight lifting too, I was in a really good routine of going to the gym daily but fell off when my daughter got on summer break and my nieces came to stay with me. I used to go when I took her to school but now my schedule is super out of whack.

    Down almost 20 lbs! I'm doing pretty well and mostly finding it fairly easy to keep my calories low, but I could do better with evening out my food throughout the day.

    Good morning friends. Today is my weigh in day. I got a new scale but my weight is pretty much around the same as last week. My new scale tells me my body fat, muscle mass, Water weight and some other stuff which is pretty cool. It's reading up .6 which I'm not sure if it's the new scales calibration or what but I know I've been eating right and exercising so I feel great. This past weekend I caved and had like 3 Starbucks caramel mochiatos in the span of two days and learned that drinking my calories isn't the wisest choice. This journey is much more to me then losing weight, its healing my mind and heart and learning to truly love myself. It's not something that will happen overnight but I know that I am well on my way. I created this thread to keep myself accountable and a part of me wanted to run and hide because I didn't have a huge weight loss but I realized that I am not doing this for anyone but myself and this is my journey. I will not quit and I know that I will reap exactly what I sow, I'm expecting a harvest on these good food choices and exercise seeds I've been sowing lol. I hope everyone is having a wonderful week and sticks with it as this is a lifelong change that must be made and the longer we avoid it the deeper we get. We can do it! I can't wait to look back on these posts in 6 months and see how far I've come, the time will pass regardless, I am choosing go make my time count!

    On another note, does anyone have an iWatch? We can share our activity to keep each other motivated. Let me know!

    Good morning friends! I am excited about what today will bring as I embark on my journey of getting back to the basics. I plan on eating 3 meals today with no snacking in between and one Protein Shake to make sure I get in all my Protein. I plan on trying to plan out my meals for the week so I don't get overwhelmed. I also am striving to drink at least 64oz of Water if not more. I hope and pray you all have a wonderful day️

    Hello ladies.

    I have been so busy with life that I have neglected to check in or keep up with posts on this thread. I found a group on Facebook called No Bariatric Regain, Back on Track that has helped me tremendously! It's such a great place for support and their plan works! There are so many people that have lost the regain and so many people on the path to do it. I encourage everyone to go find the group and become a part of it and I'm certain that you will find the support you're needing as I have. I am not the best thread admin as I don't check in often but on this group you will get so much support and responses within minutes!! Please check it out, that's where I will be, hope to see you guys there!
