I was right there with you! On day 10 I went to the emergency room for fluids. Once i got re-hydrtaed I could start doing hot tea....then gatorade...and so on. I felt like a new person when i left the ER. I received 5 bags of fluids in 2.5 hours. They almost admitted me. I say go tonight. You will feel so much better! -

I have a 4 year old and a 6 yr old. We all eat the same things. I have found myself very rarely cooking carbs. We eat alot of lean meats, fish and tons of veggies. The kids seem happy and eat whatever I fix. My husband has even lost 50 pounds! If I have to go somewhere or something I will make them spaghetti or order them pizza. It is easier then I thought it would be when preparing meals! I am lucky to have kids that are not picky at all!

Has anyone noticed that it seems ok for everyone to comment on how little we eat? It drives me crazy! It was tabu to say anything to me when I was 290 lbs but now that I weigh 138 lbs it seems like everyone wants to tell me I eat like a bird or I need to eat more or flat out make fun of me. So I think the discrimination goes both ways. Sorry but darn that felt good to vent!

I can not do bread, rice or potatoes but can eat a wrap or tortilla! I will cut it in half and have two meals but it something I can tolerate. Everyone is different! You will learn this very quickly after your sleeve! Good Luck!

Do Mexico Hotels Give Discounts For Extended Stay Surgery Patients?

It depends on the doctor..One doctor in Monteray keeps you for 12 days - 2 in hospital and 10 in hotel. The doctor I am using keeps you 7 days all in the hospital. The hotels there are pretty cheap. The one in Monteray was a Hampton Inn and was only $65 a night. Most of the doctors put the cost into the cost of surgery. It is a package deal. I hope this helps! Hi, I went through Nina with Dr. Aceves. He just called me and we talked and talked. I sent him pictures and he called me back again to discuss. Let me know if you need her email or i also have Dr. Bellos too. They gave me emails of past patients and I emailed them. They were wonderful and love the treatment and outcome of their surgeries. -

I was quoted $28K for my surgery here and it is $10K in Mexico. I live and work really close to you! Please check all your options. The doctors in our area are sooo over priced! -

HI, Yes i am having everything done at the same time. Dr. Bello ;likes you to stay in the hospital instead of a hotel, like alot of other doctors. I will be in the hospital for seven days. So i will fly home on November 19th. -

Dr. Bello was not the cheapest nor was he the most expensive. I trust Dr. Aceves and this is the doctor he recommends so that is good for me. I will make sure I let you all know how it goes! -
