  1. Reminds me of that song "Big Balls" by Accept. Love that song.
  2. I love skinnytast.com also. So many good recipes. And I agree about eggfaces site. I wish her recipes were set up like Gina's, so it would be easier to find them. But still love her site. Lots of good ideas. Thanks everyone. Alot of great sites out there I didn't know about.
  3. At my 3 wk mark when I can eat soft foods we can have ground beef or turkey. In fact my nut encouraged it.
  4. I only stayed one night and that is what my surgeon told me I would stay unless I had problems.
  5. I have alot of random hiccup/burp sounds when eating or drinking. But true hiccups I've only had once and it lastest what seemed like forever. Held my breath a few times and they finally stopped.
  6. I found a liquid and a mini tab calcium today at Whole Foods. I posted about it here; http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/topic/21765-liquid-calciumnot-to-bad/
  7. Below is a picture of the liquid Calcium by Bluebonnet that I found at Whole Foods today. It was on sale for $9.99. I just tried it. It actually taste pretty good. I didn't gag or anything. I will let you know in the next few days if it starts to bother me. It's so much better than those chewables I was taking. Also I saw the Calcium mini tabs. Didn't buy them, since I can't see how "mini" they really are. They were $14.99 at Whole Foods. Has anyone else tried these? Thought I would try the liquid if that didn't work, then I'll try the mini tabs. But you just have to take more of them to get in my daily requirements.
  8. Glad you are feeling a little bit better and home now. Things will get better. I'm 12 days out and no regrets here.
  9. That is great news. I asked my husband this morning if he could tell a difference, and he said yes....a roll on my back is gone. LOL Normally that would hurt my feelings that he noticed I have fat rolls on my back....but it made me happy. I can tell a difference already in my clothes. The capris I'm wearing today are really lose. Maybe in another week or two I can buy something smaller. woo hoo.
  10. I had my surgery on a Monday. Went back to work full time the next Monday, (This past week) and I was fine. I would think one week is good, 2 at the max, unless you have problems. But everyone is different.
  11. My EX husband got the snip and we were in our early 20's then. We had two children and HE didn't want anymore. So it was up to him to get fixed. We went to a urologist and he did it in his office. He was good and ready to go back to work in a few days. It's a simple procedure for men. Women, its a surgery and having to be put to sleep. What? They think we don't go through pain with periods, babies, and a surgery too. Glad HE was the one to get snipped and not me back then. I had my third baby at the age of 38. I have a wonderful husband now and a sweet little 7 yr old son that love more than anything. Talk to your husband more about it.
  12. I wish I had that problem. I guess because I still can't eat food yet, my mind still remembers how it taste and the texture of the food. So I see the commericials and I would so just love to have a bite. Sometimes I just close my eyes so I don't have to see it. I'm not hungry, its just my mind playing dirty tricks on me. I hope once I get to eating foods, the taste will turn me off some, so I don't want to overeat. Even though I know I can't (Thank the Lord and my Sleeve). Oh what I would give to just take a bite of a hamburger or maybe two bites. And the funny thing is, before my sleeve I was so good about my diet and what I ate. I was doing WW and was only eating healthy things, now all of a sudden I find myself wanting the bad things again. Why? I hate this feeling. I wish I knew how to make my brain stop this, it's killing me. But if I'm not thinking about food, I'm fine. No cravings, no hunger. This is going to be harder than I thought, dealing with my freaking "head". I hate head games.
  13. Welcome to your DIL. Tell her to get her booty here. I was sleeved on the 11th also.
  14. I agree with Jim. Your doctors office has been doing this a long time. They know what the insurance is wanting/needing. Even if you were denied, they will tell you what else they want and its as simple as appealing with the new info. I'm sure you will be fine. Good Luck.
  15. Just wanted to bump this up. Would love more feed back if you guys have any.
  16. Just wondering if there are more blogs/websites out there for people like us. I know alot of people talk about http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/ and I love her site. What others are out there you enjoy? Thanks in advance.
  17. Glad to hear you are doing well. Rest and sip sip sip.
  18. I had my tubes tied in 2003 during my c-section of my son. The cramps and my flow got worse, but that is because your not taking any BC pills to regulate it. So be prepared for that. I hated that part of it. In fact I asked for BC pills to help with it because my flow was so heavy. Only did that for about a year. Now I'm post menopasue and don't have to worry anymore....thank goodness.
  19. This is completely normal. And as far as eating out with friends and family, you will learn to love the company and conversation and it not all being about the food. Good luck sweetie, you are almost there.
  20. Congrats on your sleeve and new life. Yes the acid does hurt. Glad that was the only problem for you. Take care of yourself and good luck. Can't wait to hear your progress.
  21. Congrats....you look amazing.
  22. That is so awesome. Congrats. You look so happy wearing it.
  23. I also had it in week one with some milk added to it.
  24. Welcome and congrats. Looks like you are on your way.
