My surgery is also on June 8th, and I'm getting nervous, mostly it's a happy nervous; I can't wait to be empowered to change my life. I wish I had done this when I was 18. You will do great! Good luck to you and to all other June 8th surgery folks. I'll be thinking of you!

Awesome good for you~
I'm so excited. I was expecting self pay and then Christmas came early. I'm going to explore my options between gastric bypass and banding but all I needed was a BMI over 40. I don't know if I should Celebrate that I made that or not. Off to check out the forum...

I have had about the same here at True Results in San Antonio..they are awesome. Only thing is Aetna won't allow me to have the surgery at the True Results so I have to go to a hospital and the hospital requires and overnight stay. May 26th!!! is my surgery date.

My surgery is June 8th also -CONGRATS TO BOTH OF US~ I am quite a bit older than you and wish I have thought of weigt loss surgery many many years ago - SO take advantage of knowing your adult life will be waiting for you with so many new adventures even as simple as going to the mall as being able to try on clothes you see in ANY store and know it wil fit Try and relax and use the forums as support but there is such a thing as information overload~ [Everyone is different and use the forum as support and your own experiences GOOD LUCK quote name=LauraRN' timestamp='1307284561' post='1622117]

Even minimal activity will help - ealk around your kitchen- living room bedrooom for a few minutes eachj day
It's possible to eat healthy (low fat, Vitamin rich, etc.) but consume too many calories for your activity level. In your first post you said you thought you'd be able to eat everything you wanted--did you keep records to see what/how much that is? If you are unable to be very active, you will have to be extremely conscious of the number of calories you take in, no matter WHAT you eat. At some point your doctor/nutritionist is probably going to ask for the number of calories you take in daily. It would be a good idea for you to journal at least for a little while so that you know that for yourself and for them. It might uncover some suprises for you, it might not. But it will give you a realistic idea of the actual numbers, and what/if other approaches to weight loss would be beneficial to you.
Will u throw out your "big" clothes

Look for a MEDICAL STAFFING COMPANY AND A SCHOOL THAT TEACHES MEDICAL
PROFFESSIONALS - THERE ARE MANY STUDENTS AND STAFF WHIO WOULD LOVE THE
SCRUBS (as lquote name='pinknsassyemt' timestamp='1307305325' post='1622231']
My biggest "sad" moment is all my scrubs. I am a scrub "*****" and have about 30 sets, all top of the line, newest styles and @ 25.00 a piece. I am hoping to find someone to donate them too, but I don't want to offend anyone by asking if they want them.. So... I am going to use this post.. if there are any medical professionals that need 2x, XL scrubs send me a message and as I shrink out of them I will send them on their way.
