    Metabolism- Eating 3x A Day Or 6x A Day?

this might be a really dumb question, but I have to ask...you were just sleeved 3 weeks ago and you are already 131 pounds....were you not overweight to begin with and just did the sleeve as a precaution? It seems you are already slim....sorry but I"m always a bit interested in why people have done the surgery. Kudos on your workout routine! I so need to get into a better habit with working out!
  2. I was exhausted for a good 4 months. I'm doing better now since I have increased my caloric intake to more than 500 calories to about 1000. I can't get in much more than that. I also took sabbatical from teaching for five months so I will return to work nxt week. I'm certain I will be exhausted all over again.

  5. The first week out of surgery I would go to the grocery store like I was going to the cemetary and cry, litereally stand in the grocery store and cry.....totally know how you feel, but that goes away when you get used to things. keep your chin up it's only going to get better!

    Sushi Recommendations?

Alot of people just do the sashimi....I can eat sushi and it sits very well with me, even with the rice. Happy birthday!
  7. I am writing tonight because I need to vent a bit about some things i have recently seen and experienced on this forum that seems to be a new trend. I have been on this support forum for the past 5 months and it was the best thing to happen to me after my vsg. Lately I have been attacked and have witnessed people getting attacked on this page and it makes me honestly not want to come on here and post anything at all. I think we are all here for the same reason, to exchange information, to learn more and to SUPPORT each other, not knock each other down and tear each other apart. Can we please get back to what this forum is about because I loved it as it was before....when we helped each other, supported each other and gave each other props.

  10. This is going to sound gross and it takes two meals for me to eat it.... hamburger patty grilled, topped with 1 slice of cheese and then I fry an egg with pam and put it on top of the cheese burger patty.....really full of fat but also full of Protein... I love shrimp. I get the frozen ready to eat ones run them under cool Water to defrost and eat like they are full of protein. Sheritaki noodles are great as well when i have a hankering for italian
  11. YAYYYYYYY congratulations!!!!!! Fantastic news we are all dancing with you!! Woot woot!
  12. it's not a big deal, it's just a reminder that we need to be supportive and kind:)
  13. I go up and down about 3 lbs.....but I think it's just water weight:)
  14. I guess I'm just too sensitive, however I cannot relate AT ALL to being on a liquid diet for that length of time. I would probably pull my hair out and I can totally empathize when someone is frustrated and venting to that level when they have not eaten anything in 10 days!!!! I so would not want a kick in the pants at that point I would want someone tel tell me "you are so awesome YOU are going to get through it" ...I guess that's just the 1st grade teacher in me.... I was also not just talking about myself getting attacked I have been seeing it more and more lately and i don't like it because i fear our "little family" is becoming dysfunctional and it's such a nice little family....I just wanted to point it out so we can get it in check before it gets outta control.
  15. this is not what I was refering to. I actually witnessed it last night again in another group where a woman was desperately asking for some support and members attacked her for expressing her feelings about feeling she had made a bad choice. Instead of reassuring her and giving her support they cut her down...
  16. I think people on this forum are really beginning to get mean. A few weeks ago someone put up a post about not attacking each other and I"m going to reiterate. I was just recently attacked several days ago and i just want to make a point. We are here to support each other, not knock each other down. This forum was a God send when I had my surgery and I am so thankful to have met so many supportive people cheering me on so now I'm going to cheer on Rosy. Rosy this is a difficult journey and I have to say that your doctor has made it more difficult for you with the strict diet that he has you on. I'm not going to knock a doctor and I certainly don't know your condition or the reasons why you are on this strict diet but I can tell you that if I had to be on that strict a diet 10 days post op I would want to cheat too. I know that right now you are feeling like you made the worst decision of your life but really once you pass this hurdle you will look back on this and say to yourself "omg thank God that's over, but thank God I did it and the worst is behind me" keep holding on keep on trying keep on because I can tell you that it will be so worth it when your health has improved and you just feel better. Keep your chin up and keep plugging away and don't cheat, but if you have to cheat cheat with something that's not so bad like low sodium broth....you should not feel guilt about that sweetie, you feel guild about a sundae:))
  17. I have pcos and my weight loss was not quick but not slow either, like some. I have been out of surgery almost 5 months and have lost 68 pounds. im not complaining! My period is now regular and the flow has regulated as well. I'm losing a little big more hair than I would like to but it's ok I feel great.
  18. I was sleeved on July 19, 2011 I have lost 68 pounds. I want to lose 18 more. I LOVE MY SLEEVE!

The One Time I Follow The Rules

My doctor told me NOT to take vitamins. I thought he was nuts and even put up a post about it. Everyone told me take vitamins! So I did. I started to slack with my vitamins and didn't really take them regularly...I went to get my levels checked and even without taking vitamins my levels were off the charts and my family doctor was completely floored....

None Of My Pants Fit Anymore.

My friends gave me clothes too! My mom's friend came to visit, took pity on me and bought me a couple pairs of pants (I'm without work until after the holiday) I was wearing a 12 but when I got to the store I was into a 6/8....so I definately looked frumpy, actually it was beyond frumpy. I looked like a teenage boy...you know when they run and have to hold up the back of their pants so that they don't fall down. I think they used to call it "bustin a sag" when I was a teenager...

  25. I have been drinking coffee and other beverages with caffeine like a champ. i have been drinking alot of iced tea(no sugar) and a coffee a day (skinny cap nescafe)....now I'm watching youtube success videos and have come across a video from a doctor saying that caffeine will stretch the sleeve.....is this true? I'm four months out and am noticing ALOT of hunger and I can put it together with my consumption of coffee and iced tea.....I never never had issues with hunger until about a week ago when I began having a cup of coffee a day. Before when I drank coffee it would supress my appetite but now it seems to be waking it up. I'm not sure if this is because of the acid in the coffee making me have more acid in my tummy or what but if anyone can give me their two cents I would appreciate it sooooo much! Should I stop drinking coffee? Tea?
