  1. That's a great idea. I'm not sure how to do that at the present moment but I'm going to research this further.
  2. michelle, I had my surgery on Friday (July 18th 2003.) I was back at my desk Monday morning bright and early. I was a little uncomfortable throughout the day but I was glad I went back right away.
  3. Monica, I really hope you enjoy the site. We're glad you've joined us and we hope you can give us as much as we give you .
  4. I have a feeling that it was gas from something I drank.
  5. I'm all good now....thanks
  6. It's been 10 days since my procedure, that's why I was a little surprised. I have a feeling it might have been a drink that I had today. Leo thanks for those tips!
  7. I'm having sharp massive gas pains in my upper left shoulder. Normally I'd think I'm having a heart attack but I was warned about this by my doctor. I had my surgery 10 days ago. Is this normal ? What can I take to stop the pain ?
  8. Michelle, I was on the atkins diet and I found that even though you can have certain veggies you still feel limited since you can't have any carbs. Most people I've talked to have found that they really have a hard time getting to Ketosis if they even have a drop of carbs. Why not eat GOOD foods from all food categories in limited quantities (easier said then done ) ?
  9. Michelle, Why would you want to go on another "diet" after your surgery ? Aren't you sick of "diets." I think the lap band is supposed to be a tool that helps you change your entire lifestyle. It's not just another diet. For what I see and hear you should be able to eat normal varieties of food (not just meat, cheese and eggs) and still loose weight.
  10. Congratulations Barb! Let us know when you knock of that 1 pound . Keep spreading the word.......
  11. Dawn, I plan on adding that feature in a few weeks. Thanks for the suggestion!
  12. Julie, I just took a look at your pics. You loosing your weight pretty quickly! I can't wait to loose 100 Lbs!!
  13. Robin, My jaw is still dropped. Your doc did an awesome job. Was the TT covered by insurance ? How much was the procedure ? Also, thanks for linking to our site from your web page .
  14. If anybody else is interested in becoming a moderator just PM me.....
  15. Leo, I had it enabled but it only allowed users to add it after 5 days of registration and 5 posts. I just changed that to 1 and 1.
  16. wednesday, I see the third time was a charm
  17. Hi Jerry, Thanks...I hope to add other cool features in the near future.
  18. Glenda, Good luck on your surgery! When you recover let us know how things went please.
  19. I'm male.....I hope that doesn't matter
  20. Robin, I just wanted you to know that your web site http://www.geocities.com/robinh26/lapband.html really was one of the deciding factors when I was researching the lap-band online. Thanks for linking to our web site in your journal.
  21. Thanks Glenda! What's your story ?
  22. I think the reason doctors are hesitant to provide the lap-band to patients that have been bulemic is that they are worried that these patients will not have a problem abusing or finding work arounds for the lap band. I know someone who was bulemic around 4-5 years before they had their lap-band surgery. They told the psychologist that they had issues in the past but they did not have any relapses since. The psychologist approved them and told that person that he would not put that info on the insurance report but would mention it to they doctor so the doctor would be in the loop. Is there any way your insurance could know about your eating disorder history ?
  23. Jaxson, Pardon my ignorance but I have not had my first fill yet. What would be a description of this section ?
  24. I've added chat to the site. To access the chat room please click on the "chat" button on the top right hand side of this page.
