  2. :nervous hi all... my name is carla, im 31 years old and i am 274lbs. i havent had the lap band done yet, will be going tomorrow for my first sem. my sister (which referred me to this site) had it done several weeks ago and has already lost 28lbs. it took me six months to get from 300lbs to 274lbs. this is a first for me, im not even sure if i will be able to get it done. im not big on being hopeful because my hopes have been shot down so many times.. so if you would please keep me in your prayers and thoughts... and if anyone has any advice for me, please ... it would be greatly appreciated!!! thanks again and nice meeting you all.. carla
