  1. So I'm just over 4 weeks into my banding and my weight lose has stalled at about 18lbs. But after reading through the rest of the posts about this, I realized that this is pretty normal and I should pay attention to my food intake rather than the scale for a while. I have to let my body adjust and get use to everything for a little bit. So, while I'm letting my body adjust to everything, I want to start changing up my workout routine, because it quite honestly is becoming a little routine and it's getting boring. Currently I'm switching between the Elliptical and my Stepper for about an hour. When I'm not doing that, I work out with my Wii (just bought a Wii Fit, can't wait to get it!). So I wanted to find out what everyone else is doing just to see what I can incorporate. Where I live, going outside for a walk isn't much of a workout, so while I still do that, I would like to do a little more than that. Any ideas would be appreciated! You all have been so helpful with this whole journey!
  2. surgery on may 26th, first post-op appointment is tomorrow. I am having a lot of problems with the hunger, but I was told to expect it. I did have a bit of a breakdown, ok I admit it, a HUGE breakdown on Saturday night. I am still dealing with a lot of emotions which I know will continue for a long time, but this is all new and crying and breaking down is just part of my journey. It may not be for everyone, but I know we all find our own path with our bands. Good luck on yours!

    Post-Op...AHHH!

@jen120 - I cried last night too for some time. It's just hard to put your head around what i've done. And the fact that I did it to myself makes it all the harder. I've moved on to semi-liquids now, still hungry and still upset, but there's not much I can do about it now, so I guess i'll just have to wait it out.

    Post-Op...AHHH!

Can anyone give me some examples of what semi-liquids they are "eating"? I know the list is small, i'm just looking for ideas.

    Post-Op...AHHH!

I mixed the unflavored Unjury with a protein shake this morning, it is much better. I also put a little in my sugar free pudding that I started today.

Yes, I was told what to expect, but hearing it and going through it are two totally different things.

    Post-Op...AHHH!

This is just not what I expected at all. I'm totally exhausted and now I'm reading about all these problems people are having with the band fills, etc. I just have no idea why I did this to myself anymore. Maybe it's just the lack of food that I'm feeling this way, but it's totally defeating.
  8. I was banded on May 26th and am now on liquid diet, day 3...I'm quite sure I'm ready to tackle someone for some actual food! This is just torture! I know I have to let my stomach heal and everything, but come on!!! broth, Jello, popsicle, Protein...broth, jello, popsicle, protein...good grief! And I can't even get down much of the protein. It's absolutely horrible and I haven't even gone to the shakes yet, this is the unflavored unjury. It's so horrible in Crystal Lite, I don't know if I'm doing it wrong or the people that recommend it just have no taste buds, but YUCK!!! I need some suggestions if anyone has any! I know I'm not getting enough protein and I'm woozy and have the worst hunger pains I have ever experienced in my life! Any help is appreciated!
  9. ME!!! Well, almost the same date, I go on May 26th for my Band :-) I will be starting my pre-op diet on Saturday/Sunday, my doc only wants me to do it for 4/5 days. I'm terrified, but it's a good terrified feeling :)
