  1. Surgery Mon. afternoon, went home Tues. evening, and went to work at a desk job Friday morning. But I also took the bus/subway to the pharmacy on my way home (by myself) from the hospital, so YMMV.
  2. Maroon

    8 months post surgery

My surgeon gave me a "realistic" weight with the sleeve of 220#, and that I might be able to diet and exercise a bit more off. I want to get to at least 195#, and ideally 180#, for a BMI of 25. If I can maintain most of my current muscle mass through exercise, I don't think 180 is realistic. But we shall see!
  3. Did not ever throw up, but nearly lost it after the iodine contract solution for the upper GI to check for leaks. Terrible stuff. The thin barium was somewhat better.
  4. No problems at all. Haven't taken any pain medication or anti-nausea. Actually went back to work today. No problems with my liquids coming up either. Somehow, I feel like somthing must get hard in the near future. Down 8 pounds since surgery.
  5. Well, just found out that after I left the doctor today, he found a slight abnormality on the EKG, so I have to go for a stress test Monday. Hope that they don't find anything.
  6. If I may add my first post, I'm also getting sleeved Sept. 19. Just got cleared by my GP with the bloodwork and EKG. My surgeon is Dr. Mayes at Virginia Hospital Center. He only requires a 7 day pre-op liquid diet, but I'm starting tomorrow, to help the liver shrink a bit more.
