    Save me!

Hey I know a good recipe that will feel decadent, lol. blueberries, cream cheese, splenda and just a little cinnamom, then nuke it until every thing can be blended together. Yum, may make you feel like you have something as good as a donut.

    February 2007 bandsters!

I just wanted to make sure I hadn't broken my self completely:faint: I won't try that again for some time, I think the beans I ate were to thick not enough water. It has made me afraid though, and I'm not sure if a fill will fix that or not. Jen

    February 2007 bandsters!

Hi, Everyone, I was banded on 2/27/07, I'm on pureed food, ate low fat refried beans with cheese and fat free sour cream, I think I ate too much or didn't wait long enough before eatting again. I woke up in the middle of the night with horrible back pain and just feeling horrible. I didn't eat anything then but liquids for almost two days. Has anyone else had that happen felt nauseated but didn't really throw up. Though I wanted to nothing would come up.

    February 2007 bandsters!

Hi everyone, I've been really busy so haven't been on for a while. I had my surgery through Barix Clinics, and they have me on full liquids till day 21, which isn't until the 21st, My surgery was on 2/27. I have lost 15 lbs so far which I'm not sure if that is good or not but we have some different rules not allowed to have more than 2 gms of added sugar in our foods, though it doesn't count if it is from fruits or vegetables. I envy all of you on your mushy's hope I do ok as it's unknown territory yet. Jen

    Can't breathe

Rachel, I'm so sorry you are having this problem maybe it was to much of a fill for you. I've heard that some people can't ake much of a fill. Call your doctor. Breathing is too important as I'm sure you know. As for the weight loss maybe try going back to the basic's and track what your eatting. Good Luck!

    February 2007 bandsters!

Hi, I was banded 2/27, and I am sore at my port site but otherwise doing ok. My hubby is on crutches so I'm having to do alot of running. Picked up our checks payed bills, and making him meals. Doing the grocery shopping and having everything put in small bags. The only restriction the dr. gave me was not to lift over 10 pounds and if I drive I have to get out and walk every hour. Well, Yesterday was exhausted. So today is the first day I could even sit at computer and say hi. My doctor has me on full liquids for 20 days, so won't even get to puree until day 21.

    February 2007 bandsters!

I am to have my surgery on the 27th, well my husband broke his ankle on Monday, then Monday night he fell in the bathroom and I had to pick up off the floor hopefully it was just the Vicodin which he's not going to take any more of. He was supposed to drive my and take care of me now I'm taking care of him. I don't want to cancel my surgery my neighboor said she would drive me down and help. I would pay for her hotel room as we are about three hours from the sugery site and a snow storm is supposed to be comming in. I only took a week off work, and I work two jobs have scheduled them both so I don't have to be there. Any suggestions will this surgery still be possible? Jen

I am so excited, I can bearly contain myself. I have such high hopes for this, I've seen several of my friends have the bipass, but I like th band idea better. But I've never met anyone with the band, and am so glad to have found this forum. Jen

    My surgery date is set

I am very excited I finally got the call yesterday and my surgery date is set for Feb 28th. I have my pretesting on the 13th. I am not sure what that involves, but I guess I will be ready for it. I am so excited. I want to do so many things that I feel there is not time for, and I'm not sure about whether I am ready with vitamens, drinks for when I get home. I haven't told my mother, and I am not sure if I should or not as the mere suggestion sent her into panic attacks. But I am sure this is a good thing for me. So, on I go. I feel a little nervous as I don't have any presurgery diet, other than clear liquids, while other people I know have had to diet for a week before surgery, but I am going to Batrix and that is all they do so they should be the experts in this.:clap2:
