  1. I think it's great you have time to get prepared! I don't know if you cook, but one of my favorite sources for soft/mushy foods was the cookbook Eating Well After Weight Loss Surgery. It broke the recipes down by stages and had some great ideas...it's under $12 on amazon. My favorite early puree was teriyaki chicken from Trader Joe's. The kind that was pre-cooked. I'd puree it with a little bit of shredded cheese and add some of the sauce. When I was so early out I didn't need to worry about the extra carbs from the sauce because I could eat so little.
