    Almost A Year....

I had it done by Dr. Kurtis Martin in Cincinnati Ohio and it was about 6k with lift and implants. I did saline because I still had a lot of breast tissue left. So that made it a little cheaper. The hospital and anesthesiologist was what cost the most lol

    Almost A Year....

I was 5'7 and 250 on my surgery date. I am now 140 today. I don't want to lose any more weight. It will be a year June 30th. And yes it is very frustrating in the beginning but trust me you will continue to lose and reach ur goal! I always focused on my water and protein! My favorite snacks are peanuts, string cheese and yogurt. I still can't eat very much at a time so I focus on eating several times a day. I have had a breast lift and implants and arm lift. I plan to have a lower body lift in September. I had a lot of excess skin! Sorry if I forgot something....lol just ask!
  3. In June it will be a year since my VSG. I reached my goal about 7 months after surgery. I am currently 10 pounds under my goal weight as of now. I am super happy with my sleeve and would do it all over again! I am from Ohio and Dr. Trace Curry was my surgeon. If anyone has any questions at all just ask! I love to help! Good Luck! Ashley

    Hello All!

Hello everyone! My name is Ashley and me and my husband had our sleeves by Dr. Trace Curry at Journy Lite in Cincinnati. We had our surgery June 30th. We both did very well and went home the next day. We are doing pretty good with eating. We are on purees right now and not able to eat a whole lot at once but we eat 6 times a day. I have lost 22 pounds so far, and my husband has lost 30 pounds. We are still adjusting to everything and dealing with "head hunger". Im really hoping that goes away soon. All I think about is ice cream. But it is still the best thing I have ever done for myself and am so happy I did it!! We are open to any questions and would love any advice! Thanks! Love this site!

    Puree stage

I started pureed foods today. I am 7 days post op. I had Wendys chili pureed, and it was so yummy! Then I had turkey pureed with gravy, and mashed potatoes....yum! then I had some peaches, they were super soft in 100% juice so i just chewed them up good. I ate about 1/4 cup at each meal and it went really well. It just feels so good to eat! LOL good luck with your puree's! I am going to keep experimenting and will let you know if I find something yummy. I'm going to make chicken salad tomorrow.
