  1. Sorry, didn't get a chance to get on yesterday. Weighed in at 275! megan
  2. Down 5 or 6 lbs today, can't remember last weeks weight lol. 278 this morning. Good job everyone! Megan
  3. I had the same experience with one of the nutritionists in my dr's office. I said I was having trouble with the liquid and mushie stage...she kept pushing crystal light on me, and diet snapple - neither of which I would ever touch. oh and the protein shakes. She kept pushing those on me. I out right refused. Luckily, there's another nut in the office who is more like minded. It'll get easier as you go along.
  4. I found my first month to be extremly difficult. I eat mostly natural/organic foods, and it seemed that everything that was okay up until the mushie stage was all processed/chemical laden stuff that I wouldn't normally eat. My nutritionist basically said that she understood my frustration, but to suck it up lol. I personally, would go with the FF pudding.
  5. Weight usually comes off fast and furious in the beginning...don't get discouraged, it's still working!
  6. yeah my doctor said it's just a time to get used to eating low/no sugar products. Then I got into it with him about the artificial sweetners and chemicals, saying that for the occasional treat (which jello is for me, not big on sweets) I'd rather have natural sugar. I ate/eat mostly organic, I don't want those things in me. Oh, and for some people, the artificial stuff can make you bloated and gassy...not something you want more of right after surgery. But, listen to your dr, not me lol
  7. Thanks for all of the responses! It's definietly something to get used to. They say it takes three weeks to pick up a habit right?? lol This is going to be a nervewracking 3 weeks for me.
  8. Was anyone else afraid to eat in the beginning?? I'm 4 1/2 wks out, had my first fill on thursday. Today has been my most solid food, I made a ground turkey burger and carrots. I chewed the hell out of everything, but I have a fear of getting stuck. Obviously no one is a fan of throwing up, but now I'm terrified. How long did it take you to get comfortable while eating? Or does it never??
  9. Thanks guys!! ididit - I gained back 3 lbs before my fill, but it was that TOM and I lost it right after it finished. I haven't had any issues with eggs. They're actually become my go to food.
  10. congratulations!! I can't wait to get that far. Good for you!!
  11. Congrats!! Thank goodness for the pain meds lol That first week for me was hell ( Good luck!

Having some chicken salad now, hopefully that'll hold me until 7. That's all for now! Have a great holiday everyone!!

  15. I was banded June1st, and lost 20lbs in 11 days. I'm at 18 days po now and have only lost an additional 1 in the past week. Your body will definetily slow it down. I figured I stopped losing because the majority of mushie foods were carbs - but it's more likely that my body just freaked out and is holding onto everything now. Good Luck!!!
