  1. And my question to her would be and who MADE her GOD'S spokeswoman? God is the one who healed people who were sick or disabled I believe God wants us to live life to the fullest and if this surgery makes this possible then so be it. It is not for us to question whether this is what God intended or not. This is after all a life saving surgery for some of us obese people. Without this surgery I most definately would have been disabled and unable to work. Now I am living my life to the fullest at age 58 years old of all things. Imagine that!!! And loving every minute of it.

  2. what about coconut palm sugar - I saw this mentioned on Dr. Oz - is low glycemic - suppose to help stop blood sugar spikes - I got some at festival foods - around $6.00 a pkg. measures just like sugar. Its natural so shouldn't have the side effects artificial sweetners have I guess. Hope this helps.

  3. YOU CAN DO THIS!! I am a female and I was 56 yrs. old when I had this done 10 months ago. I was over 300 lbs. when I started this journey and I lost almost 90 lbs. pre-op and I am below my goal with a 150+ lbs. lost total. My sleeve surgery was on Feb. 14th 2011. If this OLD lady can do it YOU CAN TOO!! LOLS! Good luck on your life changing journey to come. Keep us posted on your progress. Can't "weight" to see ya on the "losers bench" soon!

    Diane!

  4. Well I don't know if 2 bites at any given meal is enough food to keep your body nourished. For me if I didn't get enough calories in a day my body thought it was starving and went into starvation mode and the scale wouldn't move for me. But when I increased my calorie consumption the scale started to move again. I usually have 3 meals and at least 1 snack a day but I am also eating about 2 to 3 ounces of food at each meal too. Protein first, then vegies and if I can some fruit. I don't eat too many carbs tho cuz I usually don't have any room for bread cuz that would be my last choice anyway. Hope this response helps you.

  5. In June of 2010 my husband and I started our weightloss journey together!! Both of us were hoping to get the Sleeve. On Feb. 14th 2011 I had the sleeve, a rough road at first but well worth the struggles. Now 9 months later I am at goal and just trying to maintain. Did I already tell ya "I LOVE MY SLEEVE"!! WHOOT WHOOT!! Just today my hubby got the news that he will be having his RNY surgery on December 2nd 2011. He is excited and had originally wanted the sleeve surgery also, but due to his diabetes the doctor felt the RNY surgery would be the best option for him. If everything goes as planned he should be free of meds in a few short weeks. YAY!! Keep him in your prayers as we are hoping everything goes well. We hope to see you all on the losers bench soon. Happy ThanksGiving to All!!
