  1. Hello kteacher,

I am glad to see that you live in Somerset area. I did have my surgery on Dec.2 and I am doing ok. I was approved by Medicaid to have the sleeve. I have not regretted having it at all. I hope you stay with Dr. Husted. He is such a great doctor. He really cares about his patients. I hope we get to meet up sometime to chat, if you would like. I am planning on going to the next support group meeting that they have each month at the Bariatric Center beside Dr. Husted's office. I don't know what date the next one is on, so I will have to get on his web page and find out. Maybe I will see you there. I wish you all the best.

  7. IF I had not looked at your photos, then I may not have found your posting on your story and I would not have read about the blood clots in your arm. I am experiencing problems in my right arm and now I am going to have it checked out tomorrow. I will let you know what I find out. Thank you for posting the pictures. I do believe that God puts certain people into our lives for a special reason. May God bless you!!

  8. Wow, 80 pounds lost since August. I will be glad to see more pictures of you on your journey. You are a very beautiful lady!!

  9. I looked at your pictures and I am glad that you came to this forum. Please tell us your story and let us know about your surgery journey. You are in the right place, this is the best forum that I have ever been on. Best wishes on your journey.

  10. The chews taste like a tootsie roll, but do not have sugar in them. You can ask the Wal-Mart pharmacy if they have them or if they can order them. They are in a yellow bag that will zip lock. I like to say"I have now had my candy for the day" after I eat one each day. They are small, but they sure are good, much better than the wafers!!

  11. Hello Tiffykins,

I wanted to let you know that a woman that had the bypass was working in the Wal-mart Pharmacy and she showed me some "CHEWABLE SUGAR-FREE CHOCOLATE CALCIUM CITRATE WITH VITAMIN D AND VITAMIN K CHEWS."

  12. I decided to look at the photos again and when I looked at your pictures, they really inspired me. I am having my surgery Dec.2 and I noticed that you were about the same size that I am before having surgery. I decided to check to see if you posted your story and I had posted on your thread 11/09/09, but I read it all over again. You will inspire alot of people with your weight loss. Thank you. You look great!!!

I am on day 3 of my pre-op diet. my story is posted in "Waiting! Getting closer to having my vsg surgery."

  16. Hello I posted you a reply on your thread about your 3rd day on the pre-op diet. I hope it will help you. Just hang in there, don't give up. Just start doing better where you are right now, don't worry about failing or messing up in the past. Keep moving forward.

  24. Hello ladiesassie,

Hope you are doing ok. How is it going for you? I have some good news, I have been approved for the sleeve and my surgery date is Dec.2. I am so excited, but I am also going through so many emotions and thoughts right now. I am sure you probably went through the same thing.

  25. Hello Ky.hen,

I have some very good news. I have been approved for the sleeve and I now have a surgery date. The date is Dec. 2. I will be starting on my pre-op diet on Nov. 18, so that I can be on it two weeks. I am so excited about it, but so many things are going through my head right now. It is so hard to explain how I am feeling right now. I know that this will all pass and then I will be on my way to losing weight. I am so looking forward to living a longer, happier, healthier life. I am sure for the next 3 weeks I will experience all kinds of emotions and thoughts, but I am sure it will be all worth it in the end. Thank you for being here and being such a great inspiration!!
