    Stupid chocolate cravings!

I am only 2 weeks post op, but in general, See's Candies Lollypops in Chocolate work wonders. I think they are around 80 calories with about 2-3 grams of fat. They take a LONG time to finish and they are WONDERFUL.

    Adding insult to injury

Thanks so much. I totally forgot about the saline spray, too. I need to get some. I have doubled up on the vitamins, though. Still trying to hydrate too. Thanks, again. I guess I was just ranting....
  3. Hi All, I am 12 days post-op, and other than some gas (still), and slight pains in the abdomen (mostly from a hiatal hernia repair), I am doing fairly well. However, to add insult to injury, I have caught a terrible cold--aches, sniffles, sore throat--the works (no fever, though). I know that my immunity is low, but, REALLY? I am trying to hydrate, using slow sips, so it is tough, and taking my vitamins... Will my body ever get used this foreign object called the Lap Band? Will this stupid cold go away (of course it will...I am just ranting)? Did any of you come down with colds/flus, etc right after surgery due to low immunity? If so, what, if anything helped? I just need a bit of comfort. Shooting lots of love to you all--THANKS!

Will the gas pain ever go away?

The first 5 days or so, I was doubled over with gas pain. I took the Gas-X strips. I have not a clue if they helped or not, but, I took them anyway. I am now out 12 days, and it is about 80% better. My doctor said that it will take at least 3 full months for it to vanish totally, but hey--80% better is still pretty good, in my book.

    North Hollywood Buddy-4/29 Banding Date

YAY!! Hollywood would work! Thanks for writing. I feel like I need a buddy through all of this--someone OUTSIDE my current friends and family. I am new to this site, so I am not really sure how to send you a message. I will try to figure it out. Thanks so much, again.

    Skinny Bucket List

Hey all, I'm new around here. My banding is this Friday...My BIG BIG BIG skinny bucket list top item is wearing a pair of hot leather pants, AND looking darn good in them. Leather pants would go great with your Harley....Keep it up....you are doing great, with one heck of a great outlook.

    This Friday--Banding--VERY nervous

Thank you so much. I go from one emotion to the next--flip floppin' like a fish. Super excited about starting a new life, so to speak, with a new relationship to food. Super nervous about being put out in order for me to start a new life.
  8. Hi All, Anyone in North Hollywood out there would would like to be a support and/or work out (walking or other) buddy? I am going to be banded this Friday, and would love someone to chat with and/or work out with after surgery. Thanks!
  9. Hi All, I am getting banded this Friday with Dr. Feiz in Beverly Hills--being banded at Cedars. I am quite nervous, excited and feeling every emotion possible. I am hoping that I chose the right doctor, although, I keep having doubts. I have done quite a bit of research and still just doubting everthing. Have any of you, prior to surgery, felt the same way--I just keep flip flopping back and forth between emotions. One moment I feel great and excited and the next and I doubting everything, including if I have chosen the right doctor. Would love to hear from you. Thanks so much!
