Ummmm no one is the lapband police but if your vomiting every single day then that is not normal. Yes on occassion and that should be rarely if something gets stuck it may come back up but you should not be vomiting everyday ever and if you are then you need to talk to your doctor. Whom ever thinks it is normal then you need to tell your doctor that your vomiting every single day and see what he says I am sure he will not be happy about that.

People WTH you are not supposed to be vomiting ever. You think that its normal and its okay really???? People with the lapband are NEVER supposed to throw up and if you are then you need to get some unfill or tell your doctor that you are throwing up. You are putting yourself at risk for a slipped band. It is not normal to throw up and not normal not to be able to swallow water. You should be able to eat without issues and if you are having issues especially vomiting that is not normal. SMDH

brendap got a reaction from laddie1229 in Help. What Am I Doing Wrong?
I had my first fill on the 12th also. I had to lower my calories to 800 to lose any.The scale hasnt moved much but I can tell that I have lost inches. I am told that my body is losing the fat and gaining the muscle from the excersize, muscle weighs more than fat and thats why no decrease in scale. I walk 3 miles every day with hills and 5 miles on sat and sun. I know how it affects your motivation, so Im right there with ya! maybe try to drop the calories down to 900 and see if that helps. I know if I eat 1000 I cant lose. Good luck!

Hey, don't worry we all will be drop dead HOT soon enough. Don't ever think the way someone remembers us is a bad thing. It just means we have a spot in their memory bank. Better to be here on earth than not. Big or small. Keep your head up and working hard.

Congrats! I was just banded last week so am also a December bandster! We can all go through it together. I have already had some of the bandsters here talk me down from the food ledge on day 3 - it was tough! It gets easier as you can add back in the "mushy" foods or "mushies" as they call them here. So far I am experiencing a lot of restriction so that makes me feel good. I have lost right at 17 lbs since the pre-op diet and surgery. I had NONE of the scary pain, soreness, etc. Very little pain at all - I took 2 pain pills the 1st day post-op, 1 the 2nd day and none since. I'm looking forward to being on this site to get great advice, give my own and support each other through this journey. My family and friends are extrememly supportive and want to help but I also need help from those that have actually gone through it. I'm the 1st in my circle to get banded
Hope to "see" you on here often and let's lose this weight!

Definitely follow YOUR doctor's advice. But for the record - mine has never suggested I shouldn't/couldn't drink coffee before or after my surgery. I drink three cups a day with no ill effects and I have lost 112lb in 8 months.

You probably want to stay away from all caffeinated beverages right after surgery. For a while at least. This was a rule given to me by my doctor. Coffee will dehydrate you and slow the healing process. If you need coffee and are looking for an alternative drink decaf with splenda. This journey is all about food compromises and committing to better alternatives. BUT I KNOW WHERE U R COMING FROM. I am starbucks' best customer 7 days a week. But for now, while I'm healing I have switched to decaf coffee and teas. I am just starting to add milk back into my diet. If you wanna win-go skim! MOST OF ALL FOLLOW YOUR DOCTOR'S DIRECTIONS. JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE ON HERE TELLS U WANT TO WANNA HEAR doesn't mean that's what's best. Listen to your doc.

I buy the Muscle Milk Light powder, and it mixes with Water.
Go to AllStar Health.com and enter the product. There under $20.00 per jug, and whatever you purchase 1 or 11 it's only 5.99 for shipping.
    I keep on hand :
    chocolate Milk
    Peanut Butter Chocolate
    Strawberries n Creme
    vanilla Creme
    Cookies n Creme.
These are very Flavorful, and that's what helps them go down. I look forward to one everyday.
I recently donated 8 1/2 inches of hair to Locks of Love. she banded the tail then cut it off, and you should have seen how Healthy that hair looked when it was cut. Looked like a young persons Hair.
Point is ,, Everybody says you can lose your Hair if you don't drink enough Protein. (THIS IS TRUE !) But with this stuff I never lost my Hair, it only grew longer, and got healthier.
Check them out if your interested, that's were I buy my supplies at.
