today is my 8 week appt with the dr. I only lost 10 pounds this month and that was right after my first fill on Jan 11. Someone said I was exercisng too much for the 1000 calories I was taking in and thats why I wasnt losing weight. So I have cut back on my walks and increased my cals to 1500 and still didnt lose any. I was banded on Dec 7th. and have lost 30 pounds since surgery day. I really, really REALLY want to hit 40 by Feb 7. Keeping a track of 20 pounds per month. I am busting butt excersizing. Do you think IM doing too much? I walk 3 miles on level 6-7 on the treadmill every weekday. On weekends I hit the hiking trail and increase every hike by 1 or 2 miles. I did an 8 mile hike today in 2 hours 30 min. Only took in 800 calories today with 90 gms of protein, and my scale has not moved. WTHeck...

went for my first fill today, got 2 ccs. had a lot of fluid around my port. Dr pulled 42 cc's plus some from around my port. that was kind of scary. Hope it doesnt come back.

weight loss slowing down now, kind of disappointing. Ive been averaging about a pound a day since surgery, but this week I have only lost 2 pounds. :-(

finally some of the soreness has gone away!. I guess I pushed myself up in the hospital bed so much that the backs of my calves were screaming at me! All is well, and i was up and around today. Has hot cider for breakfast, chicken broth for lunch, around 5 I had hot cider and 1/2 cp of chicken noodle soup. I mashed up a few of the noodles and was very careful to make sure that it was small enough to go down. Down 6 pounds in 3 days... yey me! still having trouble getting cold wate...

day after surgery. Thanks everyone.. The surgery went VERY well. I was at hospital by 7 am and they took me back at 7:15 and hooked up my IV about 8:30 they took me in and was finished with the surgery about 45min later. Doc said everything went really well. They gave me a patch behind my ear and meds in my iVfor nausea before I woke up. I have NOT had ANY nausea!!! I was so frantic over that. The nurses started me on water and crytal light, but I kept burping up the crystal light...

final countdown to surgery. Have to be at the hospital at 7 am. A little nervous, more worried about how bad the anesthesia is going to affect me. Had clear liquids all day today. I could really go for something solid in my tummy. I am sipping on a cup of hot apple cider right now. Wish me luck!

Have my appt to see the referring surgeon on Monday. Nurse told me I could possibly get my surgery in December.

finally getting my referral to see the surgeon. Had my psych eval last week. It went well. I think they just want to make sure that im not an emotional eater. That seems to be the type of questions that revolved around. I get my choice of doctors in Mobile, AL or Slidell, LA. I will get a list the mail. getting excited now
