Losing hair
At nine months I am still losing hair, my guess is around 1/4-1/3rd of my hair gone so far. Its slowing down a bit, but has not anywhere near stopped. It is growing back...when I hold back my bangs I see a thick row of 1/2 to 1 inch long hair growing in.... my hair is down to my waist, so I guess I need to cut some off... it looks so thin at the ends, and the new growth wont catch up for years.....

Weight loss, Stall, Weight loss, Stall, Weight loss, Stall

Weight loss, Stall, Weight loss, Stall, Weight loss, Stall
I am at 9 months... over the last two months I have gained 3 pounds. I keep hoping I will have a nice loss again one of these days...generally women are not supposed to eat less than 1200 cals a day... thats what I am at right now...the formula says I should be losing a pound every 5days....hahahahaha! So much for formulas!

Get it off my Chest!
Whenever a full time person leaves, we hire a "substitute" person who gets no benefits at all. Our program keeps getting cuts and I keep my fingers crossed that it will still get funding during the next round of budget cuts in California. I just tell myself I am happy I am still employed! Hang in there lady.

2 1/2 weeks out and the scale's not moving!!!
Read up here on the Three Week Stall. Almost everyone gets it and what you are doing is not wrong. Chill out and hang on tight, when people say this surgery is a roller coaster, they were not kidding. And think a minute here.. how could you stay the same forever n less than 700 calories a day? Worry will not make you lose faster.

If you could....
I love my sleeve, I would only consider getting something else if I gain all the weight back that I lost on the sleeve... unlikely.

Anyone having problems with old obese friends?
You know, Sometimes I didn't really know how much I weighed... Especially when I was younger, and thought I was fat when I wasn't... Perhaps she really sees you as smaller than her....? I am lucky that my friends are happy for me, but they have to ask how much I weigh (some of them) just to see where they stand....its that old numbers habit! The woman you work with sounds like she thinks you look better than her, and she is getting "fat". Its a mixed up wiggley world!

Wondering if something is "wrong"
Ask your Doc.

Wondering if something is "wrong"
Many feel that stomach acid mimics hunger, and when they take care of the acid, the feeling of hunger goes away.
-
Wondering if something is "wrong"
Mine made amazing noises early on...like water sucking down the drain of a sink! I think it might be just complaining to you "What the heck did you do to me!" or something like that. You might be hungry, after all you are eating less than a bird, and the hormones are still there for a while. It will get better. Relax, the first 4 weeks are a wild ride and it takes a while for your brain and your body to figure out what is going on. just follow the Docs orders. There is a good likelihood that you will stall the after the first few weeks as well... like I said, hang on! Its going to be a bumpy ride!

Any Sleevers Out There in New Zealand?
- Share of Cost???? what does this mean?
I have insurance and even with that I had to pay $3000 for my surgery plus drs visit co-pays. Save a little bit every month, and you will make it to your surgery goal. Your food costs will go down after that! And your future medical costs will be statistically much lower. Most likely you will save a bunch of cash on pharmaceuticals in the long run as well. Good luck with your goals. ask your Dr if he can fit most of your tests and surgery into one billing cycle so you only have to pay your share once...- Share of Cost???? what does this mean?
I would call Meidcaids customer service and see what they say.- 2 1/2 weeks out and the scale's not moving!!!
Search the "three week stall" Almost everyone gets it... it is normal and you are not doing anything wrong. Mine lasted for 4 weeks!- Self Sabotage
Please take care, You can ruin your unhealed staple line this early out by stretching it with too much of or the wrong kind of food.... it is still raw in there! I know that eating is not always rational, but please take care of yourself. Make sure you have some "treats" around to fill in the gap, SF pudding, ice pops, and such for when you HAVE to have a food outlet. We don't want to read where you are in the hospital. Perhaps see your nutritionist soon? Or better still the Psych? This is the perfect time to get to the bottom of your impulse. Much luck to you, this kind of thing is hard, I know.- Death by uterus?? Is this possible??!! LOL....
It must have to do with all the estrogen that is dumping into your system from the fat loss. Perhaps a little OTC Progesterone cream? to balance it out? I am NOT a doctor, but perhaps you could talk to your obgyn about it.- Potential Side Effects list
At 8 months out this is still a problem. I take magnesium, eat bran, add psylium to my drinks, and drink lots of water... sometimes it works, and sometimes not so much... I think that Vit D can make the constipation worse... but its important to take it if your labs say to...- 7 months out
So so sorry for your loss! Those kids are so lucky to have you there for them, best of luck with that. You have the right idea, getting back on track to be there for them (and you!) I am one month ahead of you and have lost 67 pounds so I think you are doing great in the weight loss department. Get that protein in though, you need your strength lady! - Share of Cost???? what does this mean?
