Gonna Get To Goal. Wanna Join Me?
feedyoureye replied to coops's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Coops... have you been measuring? How about taking a break from the scale for a month. Just measure once a week or something.... I have weighed everyday for a year... my scale just broke two days ago and Its the second day I have not been able to weigh. I wonder if I should throw my scale away for a while... just to see how it feels to not mini obsess on that number....just thinking.... -
My limited understanding is there are different approaches to Paleo.. some of them are all raw.

feedyoureye replied to 1Bumblebee's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I have seen others with these feelings. Have you ever lost all the weight before.... and kept it off forever? Exactly. WLS has the best odds of losing then keeping the weight off over the long run. -

For Those Who've Hovered Around The Same Weight (Stall)
feedyoureye replied to MzPecanBrown's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Just keep doing what your doing and Im sure your body will start its downward trend soon. I have been in the same 2-3 pound range for over 4 weeks... I don't have much to lose... so I'm just hanging in there till it moves again. Stalls are normal. If you need to drink more water, or exercise, make sure you do it. Fresh veggies are good, watch the salt, and mix it up by adding calories for a day then going back to your regular calorie range. Don't feel disappointed, you are doing great! -
If your into ancestral eating styles, this site will be interesting to you. I am neolithic all the way... so palio won't work for me...however there is one guy mentioned who is a paleo vegetarian...very limited food options though... Paleo is a style of eating like our ancestors did before they developed agriculture...while they were hunter gatherers. http://rawfoodsos.com/

No Weight Loss Since Surgery
feedyoureye replied to Anakin Jay's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Some gain a lot of weight from the IVs, My guess is you are holding water weight... make sure you are drinking lots of water, keeping the salt down, and go for protein over carbs. Some low carb juices might be good, celery, cucumber, greens... green tea.... things that get the water moving out of the body. We just can't tell why the body does what it does sometimes... you are doing great, the body is just not ready to let go yet... my 3 week stall (at 2 1/2 weeks) lasted for weeks and then I started to lose again. Do move... tell your body its time to burn some of that fat! Also... measure now if you haven't... you may be losing inches. In fact, I bet you are. Are your pants falling off yet? -
What The Bleep Am I Doing To Myself, Oh Yeah, Stuffing My Face!
feedyoureye replied to Viola's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Toast and butter is a slider for me... I love it, but only eat with or after protein so I am satisfied with one or two half slices. I imagine if you tweak your diet, you will have better luck with the weight loss. You know, protein first, veggies second and carbs third. Glad you are going in to see your Doc. -

I have 170.4 on my ticker... that was the weight for one day 5 weeks ago.... I have been above that for the last 5 weeks (up to 2-3 pounds)... eating right and exercising and all so... I just post the low numbers and work to get below that sometime. I just got back to that number the last two days... and hope to get a lower number soon! I just try not to sweat the bouncing nature of the scale... as long as it doesn't trend up (like it did a little over the holidays) I do post my daily weight on fitday, but not on the ticker. Here is my fitday for the last two months... -

Holy Cow My Loss Has Really Sloooooowed!
feedyoureye replied to Rainydayz's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Th ebig difference between this method, and those is... statistically, you can keep the weight off with the sleeve. I don't care how fast I lose it... as long as I lose it... then keep it off! Keep up the good work people. -
Larger Bougie Size For Exbandits
feedyoureye replied to trishah's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Honestly, you will just not know for sure until you get your sleeve. Everyone is different one way or an other. I can eat a cup and a half.... of soup or protein drink... or sliders..... but if I use the sleeve right.... protein first, don't drink with meals, and when I want more bulk... I add veggies or low calorie stuff...I like a big salad.... it works. -
She got a wide range of support, I believe it was ALL support, just different styles. Sometimes when a child is heading to touch the hot stove , a loving mom might YELL at the top of her lungs to intervene. Some children will only hear that style when in danger. Not my style, but remarkably, I think this site is pretty much supportive almost all of the time. ...And I don't want to imply anyone is a child here...or a yelling mother... just a communication style example...

Liquids After Surgery-- Please Help.
feedyoureye replied to jlholmes5's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Try sitting up very straight when you drink....this helps pull any bends or kinks out of my tummy, and makes it easier for the liquid (or food for that matter) to go down and empty out. Works for me.
