  1. Congratulations!! My day is March 6! I'll be looking for you on the other side!
  2. You've put into words my feelings without even knowing me. You have a gift! Keep pushing, you are an inspiration!
  3. Thanks for the repy. It's risky but it gives us hope. He's always had trouble with that pesky taping. He's not unfit by any means, passes all of his tests, his "weight problem" doesn't affect his work at all, but he's extremely muscular and has trouble knocking off those last 10. Hopefully the military will get it together soon enough to stop loosing all of these potential leaders due to outdated weight standards.
  4. Congrats on your surgery! Im wondering if you would get in any trouble if your command found out because my husband wants it but the docs here at Bethesda were very stern and said if someone active duty tried to get it they would be kicked out. I'm not wishing that on you, but I really would like my husband to have the same opportunity that I have to get my weight under control.
  5. "And wish the flees of a thousand camels infest her pants" <----- That is HILARIOUS!

  10. Hi, I just wanted to check in and see how everything is going? Im in nursing school as well, in my last semester getting ready for boards and comps, doing clinicals, and my surgery will be 3-6 during my spring break. I'm nervous too and I hope everything worked out for you. I'd love to hear about your experience.

  12. Now that you mention it, I think I have the same thing. The only thing my doctor would recommend was surgical removal and heating pads. They say it was related to my blood sugar being high and my weight. If you can remember the name let me know. I haven't had my surgery yet, but I will try to update you if I remember!
  13. Thank you for posting that. It's helpful to hear the truth even if its not all great. Wishing you a speedy recovery!
