My eyes about popped out of their sockets this morning when I stepped on the scale! I am officially down 140 pounds and am .6 (that's 1/2 pound!!!) away from my first goal of 135 pounds (will decide from there whether to lose another 5 pounds or not). I CANNOT BELIEVE IT! I am so excited. Last night I went to my friend's consignment shop for the first time (only carries the smaller sizes - really upscale gently used designer clothes) and I tried on and fell in love with an ARMANI jacket. From someone that used to HATE to shop - i'm now officially a clothes horse - and loving it!!! I must say that I have never IN MY LIFE spent that much money on one item of clothing (this includes my wedding dress - ha!) that jacket makes me look and feel like a million bucks - and is a little reward to myself for doing so great with my lapband. BEST OF LUCK TO US ALL ON OUR JOURNEYS!!!!

Sorry, I guess I did the band for myself to get healthier and for me to eat better. I can't change this feeling now after I've gone through pre-op,still on post-op (liquids) and then one day try to eat foods that I should NOT eat.
I won't have any problem telling host/person/family/boss Why? If this sounds selfish, Sorry again. To much in my past, I probably ate extra food at an outting to apprease my stomach and look good to someone's effort in the kitchen. Not no more! If they can't handle this, cross my name off the list.

TWO WORDS: HEATING PAD. Nothing else worked for gas - nothing. Heating pad saved my life.

just think in the old days many of us would have finished that whole meal off at the table - plus tons of breadsticks and salad - a few drinks - and maybe even a dessert!!!! LOL - amazing how things change. Happy belated birthday!!!
