  1. Here's the way I see it. My best friend and I both had surgery recently, she was in December I am just over two weeks out. Our guidelines were totally different since we had 2 different surgeons. She was soft solids as tolerated so after like 3 days, and I was told to do liquid diet for two weeks before attempting to eat anything. Here is the funny thing. I've found I am glad of the diet I was given, because I can't even tolerate soft foods. She may have had an easier tiem eating, but she's not getting all her protien every day either. It is really hard to get all your protien in the serving sizes that you can actually eat when you are first sleeved. After 2 weeks I am still only able to consume about 2 ounces of food at a time. If I try to eat more it doesn't stay down. Listen to your stomach, take your Vitamins, get all your protien, and you will be ok :). Good luck and take care!!!

  2. The one I put the link for is Lily of France. I had never heard of them before, but tried them since they have the Push Up Pads. Glad I did. They seem to hold up well to washing and provide support in all the right places. Plus, the straps are adjustable to work with many shirts and tanks.

Little trade secret Lilly of France makes the Victoria's Secret bras, so you can get similar from them for cheaper!!! Good luck finding bras though! My size doesn't exist, so I am hoping that maybe I will be able to actually have a size one day lol!

  3. I wish you all the good energy and prayers in the world lady! Stick to your guns and do what is best for you and your family! My mother-in-law is a wonderful woman and usually good to me. She told my husband behind my back that I am usually such a smart girl, and that she can't believe how unintelligent I am being about this. I can't imagine how hard it is to deal with a PITA mother in law over all this! I hope all is well with you and that you have a speedy recovery!

  4. Don't feel bad. My best friend had the surgery in December, and the whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth. I'm having Dr. Umbach in Las Vegas, because the larger group in town really did make me feel like I was in a heifer lineup. I found a wonderful doctor who answered all my questions and makes me totally feel at ease.

  5. I was 14 years old when I realized I was fat. A boy said he would date me if I had liposuction like twice. I remember the hot tears that burned my cheeks that night was I cried myself to sleep. Weighing in on my grandmother's scale and having it tell me that I was over 200 lbs in 8th grade. I have been since then. In all honesty until the day I met my husband I only went out on dates if I asked. Growing up in a faith that encourages marriage, and in late teens or early twenties at that, I thought that I would spend my entire life alone. All the hurt and pain and stories, I have them, but to make it short and sweet. I was blessed enough to meet a wonderful man, my match. A man who loves me despite my weight (which was 305 lbs when we married). After battling with my high blood pressure, and Gestational Diabetes, we were blessed with a beautiful baby boy. He is the light of my life. We have a good life, but what I really want is to be healthy. I want to be able to keep up with my son for a few more years, and to be a healthy example for him. I've fought this battle for years. I have lost myself and gained myself twice over if not more. It's my turn to see the skinny girl who is hiding behind this face. Maybe even eventually be able to have a healthy pregnancy, and another baby. I'm having my surgery with Dr. Thomas Umbach on March 4, 2011. I can't wait to begin my transformation, and to become a healthier me.
