  1. Yes, the burping is normal! Whether that's the stuck feeling, I can't tell you, but the burping is very normal. I do it less now than I did right after surgery, but I'd say I still burp more than I used to pre-surgery.
  2. Nothing happens if I overeat- just guilt!
  3. 24 hours of liquids, then proceed with caution. So far so good.
  4. I love Chipotle (I know, not really a sit down restaurant) because i can get a burrito bowl with steak, beans, guacamole, salsa, and cheese and it's high protein, low carb (and it feeds me for 3 meals!).
  5. Well I didn't make my goal, but I came pretty close. No change from last week. 232.5 is my end... .5 from goal. I'm mostly happy with that.
  6. Well the thread is 6 years old and their domain doesn't work anymore, and a google search doesn't turn up much, so I don't think you'll have luck...
  7. Congrats on the scrubs! Sorry about the hair... but it'll be good to give your natural hair a break for a while
  8. My understanding is the latest research shows all food passes through the band within a minute of it being swallowed, and food never accumulates in our pouches... Every time I swallow a bite or a gulp of liquid, I feel when it passes through my band.
  9. Everyone tastes the shakes differently- the kind I love, someone else will say tastes horrible. It's frustrating but once you find one you like, you'll be thrilled!
  10. That's ridiculous and unfair. I'm so sorry.
  11. The chicken, light mayo, celery salt, garlic & herb seasoning, and a bit of lemon juice.
  12. I think my husband is the opposite- he sees how little I'm eating and he eats less, too, to try to be healthier. And it figures because he lost like 12 pounds and everyone is fawning over him, while most people haven't said a word about my loss. Jerk.
  13. Yes it's all normal- but that's not a lot of comfort when you're miserable! When I was on liquids I had miso soup- it was flavorful and HEAVEN after all of the sweet liquids I'd been having, Really, you can take any soup and throw it in the blender and blend it up so it doesn't have lumps- the texture might feel odd but it'll still taste good.
  14. No less than 45 days, or no more than?
  15. I try to get around 1200 but my nutritionist won't talk about calories, only protein, water, and portion size.
  16. In my opinion, yeah, I'd say you're too tight. Even a tiny unfill can make a difference.
  17. You'll be fine! I got a fill the week before our week-long cruise. The nice thing is that since all the food is already paid for, you have no reason to feel guilty if you only eat a few bites of whatever you're having. There were always plenty of options for me- the only thing I missed having was greek yogurt.
  18. I don't know anything about the sugar questions, but I can tell you I aim to keep my carbs under 100g per day. Closer to 50. the better for me. If I have too many then I crave more, and the cycle continues...
  19. No no no no, do NOT get banded. the band won't force you to do anything. It works best for people who are ready to make a whole life change. it doesn't make me sick ever, I can eat ANYTHING I want, good or bad. Look into the malabsorptive (sp?) surgeries instead of the restrictive ones. Those make you lose weight a lot easier, and they also often make you ill ("dumping") if you eat the wrong thing. the band is really a diet with some extra help. Clearly this is NOT what you want, and it's not going to help you at all.
  20. Standard here. I can also get fills every 2 weeks. Works fine for me!
  21. Seems I've heard more about it lately, but at the time I had my band put in, my doctor wasn't offering it. I'm OK with that though... it feels a bit too new for me.
  22. Happy birthday and happy ukelele hunt, Larry! I'm down to 232.5, which gives me a 3.5 pound loss this week and puts me .5 pounds from my goal. Also I've done 3 days of Water aerobics this week and I'm hoping to head to the gym early tomorrow morning.
  23. Congratulations! Here's to many more sets of 30 lost...
