  1. Do I need to pick one of the three? Honestly, I think I'm mostly A with a bit of B. I do mostly eat healthy foods. When I cook, it's always baked, grilled, etc with at least one veggie side and then a grain side- usually brown rice. I tend to have under 1/4 cup of the grain with a meal, if I'm sill hungry after eating the rest. I do allow myself a "treat" now and then, but I certainly also do sometimes eat the "wrong" thing at a meal. To me a treat is a snack- but a wrong choice would be, for example, the 2 pieces of pizza I had for lunch yesterday My weight loss tends to go for a week, then sit still for a week, then go for a week. I weigh every day but only count the downs, not the ups.
  2. Ooh, you're so close to the 100s!
  3. Does it hurt as it passes through the band, but you feel it go through and then you're fine? I've always been able to feel everything I swallow so I learned pretty quickly that big bites or badly chewed bites hurt going down. Try making sure you're chewing well and taking time in between bites. If it's bit stretchy/achy it's probably normal, if it HURTS then you're too tight. Even a fill of .1cc will help.
  4. I see why she's hurt, but I also see why you didn't tell her. Maybe you can write her an email and lay it out for her- tell her exactly why you didn't tell her- but don't blame her for anything. I hope you guys can move past this.
  5. You're doing a great job! I have no helpful advice, I just wanted to tell you to keep it up
  6. That IS a lot, congratulations! Do you feel like you need a fill now?
  7. Awww... thanks so much! (And I knew you meant me, even with the funky numbers in your title, no worries )
  8. I'm happy too, trust me! And I hope it stays this way and doesn't go back to "normal" once I hit 2 weeks post fill
  9. Not many, that's for sure! I did protein shakes made with water 3x a day and then just broth or sugar free jello... so probably 500 a day at the most. It's hard. You might feel really weak. Just take it easy and be kind to your body.
  10. I haven't had a repeat of that overfull episode. I'm now getting a "full" feeling when I eat, but it's not the hurt-y kind, and it always sneaks up on me before I want to stop eating. So that's great! But I'm a little freaked out that I'm not supposed to be feeling any "full" feeling and it means I'm eating too much. Is it possible it just means I'm going too fast? Ugh I feel like I need to re-learn this whole thing!
  11. Do you have access to pineapple juice? If so drink a few sips, if not I'd drink a hot herbal tea, slowly, and see if it helps "wash down" whatever is still left.
  12. I got headaches from my change in diet (no caffeine, greatly reduced sugar). And I had to work at burping in the beginning- really stretch out my jaw and esophagus to get the burp out.
  13. I absolutely know what you're talking about. The hardest thing for me has been when I know I'm NOT hungry any more, but there's food left, and I have to fight to stop myself from eating it. This band thing is HARD. Don't let anyone tell you differently!
  14. I got overwhelmed and ended up with a bowl of oatmeal. Oh well.
  15. Just curious, as we have visitors and we'll be heading out to Breakfast soon. I don't like eggs so I've always had a hard time ordering breakfast at a restaurant- I used to always just order carbs, with a side of carbs. Now that I'm low carbing it, that doesn't work for me. I'm curious what others get when they go to a restaurant for breakfast. Honestly, I haven't been real big on breakfast since I got banded anyway. I never seem to be hungry in the morning. I need more restaurants to serve greek yogurt, darn it!
  16. I only walked for exercise in the beginning. And even then-- not much. Please don't "cheat" on your eating plan. You don't want to do any damage. Yes, some people aren't hungry after surgery and some are starving- this part of the journey is the hardest!
  17. I'm sorry It could be a bunch of things... but if you continue to feel this way for 48-36 hours, or if you start having problems swallowing your food, please call your doctor.
  18. You can do either but the kind in the cardboard box tastes better, in my opinion.
  19. I'm not sure why that's insulting to you- but I'm sorry you're upset.
  20. That's awesome, congrats!!
  21. Most people with a slip will either have a lot of heartburn or trouble keeping anything down (or getting stuck all the time).
  22. Oh Yeah, it's rough! And delicious! The good news is you have so many protein options... the bad news is that rice is addictive.
