I get from 1000 -1500 cal a day . I had to up it to stop a stall. Sometimes i have to make myself eat. Thats way cool because that has never happen to me. LOL Anyway, This is an exciting journey and it is well worth it. Thanks again for everything and keep the advice coming... We love you and you are very inspirational... Thanks:thumbup:

Down 40 pounds, and no one noticed today:)
The same has happen to me this Holiday weekend. we had family here from all over . I havent seen them for ages. Now I've only carried this heavy weight since 2005. (pregnancy) So they remember me when i was smaller. So they were saying how big I was. I felt like a big fat loser!!! Nobody complimented on my weightloss.. even the ones that knew about it. Oh yeah , I did get a one really big compliment from one cousin who was so proud of me. but I guess the others still see me as big and fat . I know when I get to my goal of 165lbs. they will definitely notice. but then who cares . I did it for me and my health. My health is better and I feel lighter. I was wearing a 5x and 4x clothing but today I am in a size XL... Thats a plus... I was 289lbs at surgery , today I am 245lbs. I will be the biggest loser very soon. i love my sleeve... Stay positive and don't allow the "HATERS" to get to you . You are looking great !!!

hey friends or fellow sleevers, I took my husband to the Dr today and I just had to use the scale..I have lost 2 lbs since Monday. I am 247lbs now!!!...It has started moving again. I also heard that the B12 shots are excellent. so i made an appt. to get one. i ve heard that you get tons of energy and it helps with depression.

Sigh... stall...
Well folks.. I went to my hypertention doctor today and i had to get on the scale .... It MOVED !!! :thumbup1: I have lost 1.9 lbs . I weigh 249.1... Yeah .finally it has moved and i am happy . i increased my calories with healthy choices... I did eat whole grain bread and crackers w/ tuna fish salad. I also think that I need to kinda cut back on the H2O , i drink constantly.. Its very confusing but like i said before , I will not give up!! 90 lbs to my goal and i can't wait.

Sigh... stall...
also I havent had to sleep with the c-pap machine since surgery . Frankly , I am scared to use it because I seem to beleive that it will blow air into my gut and damage it. And nothing will hurt my sleeve... I am very protected over it. LOL I will not give up.

Sigh... stall...
Everyone has said what I 'm experiencing also. I became a sleever on April 14th 2010. And i was 289 lbs, Now I'm 251 lbs . So I was happy at first now I'm sad , depressed , upset, confused and down right feeling stupid. What can I do to get it moving again? Its like some science formula that has to be applied..lol I am truly confused. I exercise daily . (For long periods sometimes). I only eat around 1000-1300 a day. ( if that) I try to eat at all sorts of times and I really eat healthy.. I get all my protein, sometimes 128 gm of it . I drink plenty of water and crystal lite. I get few carbs but I try to eat the whole grains and brown rice . I don't do salads anymore. I eat all veggies cooked now. I snack on mixed nuts. I want this fat off of me but you all are right , It did'nt take me a short time to get that big so it has to come off slow. I can tell in my clothes that I'm getting smaller, just looking in the mirror , I can still see that 300 lb woman. but today I got a summer dress from walmart and I got a XL, I used to wear 3-5X in walmart. thats amazing just to think of that. I am just frustrated because i seem to think that I am suppose to loose all the weight in 4 months or less...LOL This is a mental game with this sleeve and You know , I love it!!! well atleast I know that I am normal... I've been 251 for a whole month. Someone says i should add a small amount of fat to my diet to trick the body into thinking that I'm eating more fat and the body will release the fat and I should start losing the weight again. I know that I am doing all the right things to losse and It will definitly start again , I just wish that it will be soon. I have lost 38lbs so far and my health is 100% better. So thats got to be a plus...

Shape-Ups by Skechers
Hi. I was walking in the mall one morning and i went inside "Romm-Rack shoes to browse and they caught my eyes . A couple was there trying on a pair, so I asked them what the thought of the shoe and they said they were excellent!! This was her husbands 2nd pair and she was buying her first pair...they are expensive and well worth it ( i hear) I am going to get me a pair next month also. I know when I walk in regular shoes and I land on my heal and push off on my heal . i can feel the burn in my legs ,butt and calves... I know the shoes were designed to target those areas . They are ugly as all outdoors... LOL but I think I will invest in a pair.

Average monthly weight loss?
oh yeah about the skin, if you have not carried it for many , many years , then it should come off without hanging, I also work my arms daily and I can honestly say I can see the muscle indent wanting to shine thru, lol, but I am kinda worried about my stomach skin hanging everywhere. I think I will need a tummy tuck when all the weight has gone. Again everyone is very different so the results will also be different. so get ready for an awesome ride. I only carried the big frame since 2006 when I gave birth to my daughter. I am praying that I wont have the skin hanging problem.

Losing/Stall/Gaining
Thanks so much for clearing that up. I am at a stall now:mad0:. I was 289 at surgery and now I am 250 . its been 8 weeks now. I try very hard to measure and count foods. I am doing exercise atleast 5-6 days a week. i try to get a hour swim in atleast once a week. I have a problem with eating cheetos. (the small bag ) I only eat one bag but I feel so guilty. I have been wanting them more everyday. but I get my protein easily. lots of chicken and fish, turkey. eggs and cheese. I eat about 800-1200 daily. I burn cal too . what can I do to get moving again? I love the new sleeve that I have. i will loose weight because I cannot eat alot of food anymore:001_smile:. My sleeve won't allow it.:thumbup1: i need tips ....:001_tt2:

He said that it could take 3-4 months to completely heal.. I am also 7 weeks post op..So I don't think you pulled a muscle . It is trying to heal. walking will help. good luck

5days out & eating Hard food, is it to fast?
:ohmy:well the way I feel about the pizza and dip is to STOP IT:mad0:!! No more bad choices of food. This is a TOOL to get you to eat right and make smart choices. Why would you go through all that major surgery only to sabatage you surgery:thumbdown:??? You got to grow and start choosing the right foods. I am 6 1/2 weeks out and I had a slice of healthy pizza last night that I made myself. It was fat free cheese and turkey pepperoni with mushrooms and diced tomatoes , no salt . It was a baby slice and I had a salad. My kids bugged me for pizza, so we went to walmart and purchased the ingredients. It was cheaper than pizza and most importantly , I made it so I know whats in it. It will come times when you will crave your favorite foods but you will have to decide what is best for you. Thats what will keep you healthy. You are now the role model of the house and your kids will follow you with healthy choices. Please try to pick healthy and watch your portions because this is a lifestyle change not just a fad. Welcome to the sleevers club. :001_tt2: a href="http://www.myfitnesspal.com/weight-loss-ticker">
Created by MyFitnessPal - Free Calorie Counter</small

I made it
I had gastric sleeve surgery on April 14th 2010. I had NO complications at all. i stayed in the hospital for 2 days . I left on a full liquid diet . After 7 days i had permmission from my Dr to add some soft foods. I had lost 24lbs in 7days!!! WOW...It scared the mess out of me. I could not believe it. I can "feel " a difference in myself. Friends say they see a smaller kymmi. I am in La La Land... Iam so happy that I did it. i realize that i will have to stay real for my weight to drop down. I need to loose about 100lbs . I was 289lbs on surgery day. Today I am 266lbs... I 'm learning everyday how to eat and what to eat. I'm learning to chew food throughly and eat very slow. I don't enjoy drinking , I prefer to eat popcycles or eat ice chips. This is so cool.. I love it! Welll I came her to met people of all backgrounds and develop some positive friendships . I will need everyones support to help me succeed in this weght loss journey. Thank you for being apart of my "History" .

what am i doing wrong
i thought I was stretching my sleeve because when i could eat soft foods . I sometimes could eat around 5 oz but it had to be "slider" food . soft foods that slide down. But I'm 6 week out and the sleeve will let me know that I can not have another bite, I guess you have to learn your body and your "new" organ , Sleeve... Everyone is different. I asked my surgeon what was the size of my sleeve. He said 2 oz.... I think he probably tells everyone that. LOL i can't and don't overeat. Its not worth that. but I have notice that also. It makes me more aware of my foods and calories. I may eat only 900-1200 daily and I exercise daily. i have lost 38 lbs since surgery. 80lbs more to go...

My Sleep Apnea Cured!
Well since I had the surgery on April 14th 2010 , I have not used the c-pap machine. Wow... I had to get used to it also but I loved my machine as well. I took it with me on vacations and everywhere i went . BUT I sure do not miss it :biggrin0:.. I do not need it any longer..My husband says I don't even snore . ( as Loud) LOL:lol0: he says I don't toss and turn all nite or I don't wake up all through the nite. It was a true blessing that I had this done. My health was in bad shape. Now I feel like i have a chance to live:001_tt2: . God Bless you all.:thumbup1:
